I'm not a dog owner and not looking to become one. I've seen some videos on youtube lately of dog abuse, and it that really has me wondering..... What is in the mind of a person that feels it's okay to beat a dog? Looking at this video above, it's clear that some dogs like this bully aren't to be fucked with. But these smaller dogs, I've seen cases where people beat up on small dogs like they stole something.
  • Does this come as a result of a buildup of the dog constantly being disobedient until the owner snaps?
  • Is it the small dog having the audacity to not be obedient, so the owner brings the hammer down full force on some total domination shit?
  • Have you ever snapped on a dog and beat its ass? How did you feel afterwards? Satisfied? Regretful? Didn't give a fuck?

It's the only way some will learn. Just like a child.

I only had to hit mine once or twice to get the point across and it was for his own good (getting him to accept the leash, not running into traffic etc)

How did it respond? That worked??

I used to see it a lot back then, this swole dude back then that I used to see walking his pitbull had a stick in his hand all the time, when his dog didn't listen he'll lift that pitbull up and spank him with that stick several times.

I had a neighbor who had two vicious dogs they were small but they bit everything and everyone… It was so bad I had to watch myself every time I went to take out the garbage because the neighbors kids never locked their gates and the dogs would attack. Anyway the owner would beat the dog shit out of those animals every time they didn’t listen. Those dogs were damaged and I felt bad for them even though they terrorized me for the better part of 10 years. One got out and got hit by a car and the other just got old. The Neighbor ended up losing his leg and shuffles up and down the block not knowing who he is because of dementia.. he use to beat his kids the same way…. Wrote all this to say that sometimes the beating makes them worst

I had a Bandogge...

When he was a pup, he walked up to me, raised his leg and started peeing on my shoe. I slapped his ass across the driveway.

From that day forward, he was respectful. He knew his place in the pack, and he was an excellent protector.

If you don't run the pack, they will (that's what the males strive for). All of that f*cking around and misbehaving that dogs do, they're doing it to see where they fit in at.

If you tolerate bullshit from them, in their heads, they are above you in the pack.

As long as you know the difference between discipline and abuse.
This is a fine answer.
The problem I find, is people often think they know the difference, but really don't.

And that goes for pets or children. The line is so thin that I think we should just eliminate spanking all together.

Because ..you don't know my dog. Or ex dog.

Hard headed little fucker. Did stuff on purpose to test boundaries. I got him from an army base in Georgia.

Half lab and half doberman. Vicious looking teeth, black with brown patches on feet. He was a street dog who I got from the on base kennel.

He ran into traffic, refused the leash or wouldn't come back if it broke. But he knew where to be when he wanted to come home. I left him out there like fuck that dog but always gave in.

But after one whupping he knew to be on that leash when outside and he accepted it and would even come to let me put it on if it broke.

Damn shame about that dog

Yeah I had no idea. Andy wasn't advocating for hitting dogs though.

But there were 2 white dudes. The first and 3rd graphic vids were white dudes.

I got a behavior collar (they're cheap pieces of shyt that don't hold a charge after a month) I have shocked myself more than my dog. "Beating" a dogs ass, sounds excessive. What I call excessive might not be what you call excessive and then the size of the dog plays a lot into that as well. My Xolo can't take the same "beating" that a Cane can take.

See that's why I'm asking about small dogs. Most of the cruelty I've seen has been towards small dogs.
