They probably weren't clean.

Though there is precedent for only punishing one member of a relay team, Scherr and Ueberroth encouraged the other Americans to give back their medals, too.
Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, Tasha Colander-Richardson and Andrea Anderson all won golds as part of the 1,600-meter relay. Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry and Passion Richardson were on the 400-meter relay team.

Both Edwards and Gaines have served doping bans since the 2000 Olympics.

but i'm talking about the ones that were actually clean..they didnt do wrong and more than likely didnt know the others were dirty so should they have to give up their medals?

becuz why would they tell anyone they were doping?

would you tell your teamates you were doing something illegal?

Honestly, they all were doped up... It's troubling though, because I truly was a Marion Jones fan, and now my whole view of track & field is fucked up....:smh::smh:

*Prays that Alyson Felix isn't a doper*

I still say all of these athletes are on some type of enhancement drugs. Marion just got caught out there. I don't think they should have to give up the medals it's not like they didn't run the race.:D

I think no they should not be forced to give them up. If asked and they give them up willingly then ok, because the cheating has already removed them from the records. But if they chose to keep their metals, they should be allowed to. They don't mean shit anyway.

Huh?? They mean EVERYTHING!!!

What I mean is there is two parts to those metals. The metal itself and record books. Without the record books, the metals mean nothing. Almost like getting one of those mail order degrees. It says Duke University on it, but you don't have transcripts to back it up you got nothing but gift wrapping. It's worthless paper. It's the least they should be able to come away with since they didn't cheat.

Uhhh, no. The MEDAL is the most important symbol of the Olympics and represents the particular achievement of the athlete. (Beyond that, it has monetary value.) It's up to the Olympic Committee to do whatever they usually do in such instances.

Even though I personally wouldn't want to give up something I worked hard for just because of one person, I think they should give it up.. Not that they should be forced to, but giving it up would look like the right thing to do, I'm not knowledgeable on this, but are they upgrading medals, like the second place runner in Marion's races gets the gold now?? If not, I think they shouldn't have to give the medals up, if they're upgrading medals then they should..

the second place runner in one of those events was also caught on steroids...

what about the AGENT ??? he's white... where is the HEAT on him...

This CRACKER HERE:

You mean he made them RICH.

They took themselves down, as he did himself.

Actually, it was a circle of trainers, associated with Conte's lab (including Bonds' old pal Anderson), who distributed his "miracle drugs" to a wide assortment of athletes (black and white), who willingly used them. Everyone that Marion Jones was involved with (romantically and professionally) for years was "dirty," and has been busted.

...however you try to justify it in your TWISTED, INFERIOR mind... VICTOR CONTE and the WHITE atheletes (LANCE ARMSTRONG for one) still are in the CLEAR...

I swear...Some white people try to justify ANYTHING...

Armstrong was never linked to his lab. There've been plenty of white athletes taken down with him, but, as we know, all the great track athletes are black ... so they're obviously gonna be in the forefront. Duhhh.

I swear...Some white people try to justify ANYTHING...

And some people will make desperate racist EXCUSES for EVERYTHING, even the most obvious self-destructive activity. I guess black athletes are just too dumb to think for themselves. They're always gonna let whitey lead them astray. Just don't know any better.

:smh:

He won't be banned, stop quoting him though.
