My 360 just died again, and Im thinking about buying a PS3. Somebody school me on some games to buy for it.

Im not about which is better, I love my 360. I just wish the bitch would work. As long as Microsoft is fixing them for free Im cool. But I'll say this, If it wasnt for Blu-Ray I wouldnt be touching the PS3. Sony dropped the ball on exclusives, and online play IMHO.

When we say exclusives, we're talking about games that sell consoles. Games like Halo, and Gears of War. Sony only has one which is MGS, and that has found its way on other consoles in the past and will in the future.

Im not downing either console. Soon I will own both. Xbox has always had better online play, and Sony has never gave a fuck about games. Sony just wants to push media formats, and Microsoft is trying to milk us dry by selling dumb shit on XBL. RROD sucks, but so does Playstation Online (Not Comparing the two).
It's the opposite, Sony has developed games were microsoft has thrown large sums of moneies at studios for exclusives. Microsoft wants to intergrate gaming with computers and rent movies and make money off of selling content.
I just want one game for the PS3. And then I'll probably only watch movies on it.

MGS4 can be made for the 360. Sony will tell you anything to make you think otherwise, but its possible.
I say dont prefer either, and own both. Xbox Live is revolutionary.
PS3 has been said to be hard to develop for, to get the same result(or slightly better) than the 360. I wouldnt say 360 is tapped. M$ is just trying to overtake the market with a barebones SKU. But yea, Sony is all about the new formats and thats what Im looking forward to.
MGS4 is a 50gb game made on a bluray disk. Could it be made, yes? Did Sony say it couldn't, no. Konomi said it couldn't because it would have to be put on multiple double sided DVD's which they were not willing to do.
Gears by no doubt is a console mover. COD4 cant be in the category because its a multi-platformer. Anytime you have an exclusive thats a hit, IMHO its a console mover and that goes both ways.
How can it be a console mover when it was released without another console to sell against. It was a good game but as we all know COD4 trumped them all.

Thats a vague arguement to make so Im not going to discuss which looks better, but I think the 360 controller was built better for sports games. The joysticks are in just the right spot for it and dont get me started on FPS's.
The reason PS Online is free is because its not as maintained as Xbox Live. Sony has some catching up to do on that avenue, but thats neither here nor there as thats not the reason Im buying a PS3.
The 360 controller sucks for FPS and so does the PS3. Get PC or a Wii. SOCOM will top GOW 2 along with Killzone 2.
No one said PS3 didnt have good games to play. Most of them are just multi-platform. Im just looking for one good one the excels on PS3 that I cant get on Xbox. Thats all.

Xbox Live is what it has to offer. Its far superior to PS Network. And I agree that Halo 3 sucked. Gears has potential.

Live is better if you want 13 year old racist ond you want to pay enough money to purchase a ne console every 4 years for the same shit you get on a PC for free. Xfire anyone. Its a joke that Bill Gates has convinced XBox owners that it requires $50 a year to provide a service on the XBox that the PC has done for free for years. On top of that MS provides the same service on the PC for free now. With PS3 online gaming can be based on the publisher and not limited to the crap servers that are on Live. Warhawk would be limited on live.
So what do you got for PS3 that you play regularly? I need something I aint got on 360, and I got GTA4, NBA2K8, Madden 09, and Call of Duty for that.
From what you said you don't have a 360, it's broke remember. If you are really interested in exclusives GOW and Halo will be on the PC so they are not truely exclusives. As Always they will play better on the PC and online play will be free.

There will always be people on both sides of the fence, as one person might prefer PS3 or another might prefer 360. You should get over it. Im making a purchase here and I wanted some advice. You want advice but you ignored everything everyone said to make comments about what the 360 does better then the PS3. You have your good list of exclusives. I see no reason for you to continue responding to people. Need more go to IGN and look at the reviews and new releases.

This is a reverse of the argument that folks had about the "last gen" of consoles. Niggas was going hard saying that the PS2 was better than the Xbox and so on. Who the fuck cares? Nathan704, get what you like. I don't think that you'll ever get that straightforward non-biased answer that you're looking for. The PS3 is showing some strong upside but it does have some negativity still floating around(tough to program still etc). The 360 is about to drop that GOW2 and hopefully the multiplayer is even more exciting the original. I have a PS3and i'm not complaining. The only thing I miss out on is waxing dudes in that NBA 2k online.
