Should Children Be Taught How To Grow Food As Part of Their Schooling?

In my opinion I'd much rather they be taught how to manage money than how to grow food. Growing food can be learned in a matter of weeks. Not knowing how to balance your account, how to keep money in your account, how credit and credit cards and rating work, and how to ensure you won't work till you drop dead will go a long way

If you don't know how to put a seed in some soil, water it, make sure it gets some sunlight..... then you probably shouldn't be a parent. Got damn , what do some of you do with your brain? Rap music. You wait on the schools to teach yours what they need to know to survive in this world.... I, and a whole lot of parents actually look at our children, figure out what they need and make sure they learn it.
I think you should run out to home depot and grab a pack of tomato seeds, some potting soil and a pot. Tomatoes are easy as hell and will grow just about anywhere.

They took away wood shop, home economics and some schools GYM......

This is a funny statement... i guess my mother n pops shouldnt have been parents either...this is a very narrow minded way of looking at things...

This is helpful, but may not be helpful to others that have no yard or n space to plant things in the soils ...it supposed to be each one teach one...
