Should BLU Cantrell Have Had A Better Career?

Always thought her career was gonna pick up steam back in the earlier part of the 2000s. Maybe that past porn modelling scandal shit fucked with her psyche a bit. I dunno. Very good singer though.

hahaha...thought about Jay & Beyonce's daughter having the same name as Blu Cantrell. I always chalked it up to them trying to be different like other famous types and Jay's the Blueprint.

Nicole Wray had a good first album and she should have done well but I think the promotion was lacking. Blu Cantrell should of had a good career but she was fucking with LA Reid. In other words...pleasure and business just don't mix.

Good point, bro. He's had that international appeal for awhile.

He seemed to hit it biggest in N. America around 2002/2003 - 2006 or so, if I remember correctly. Had 1 or 2 major albums in there with plenty of singles in Canada & the US, etc.
 
For fans of Sean Paul's work ... here's one of his features from 2012. It's gotten plenty of pop rotation here in Canada. Simple Plan's a Canadian pop-rock group (believe they're from Montreal or something). SP does the ad-libs throughout the cut, and then comes in for his verse shortly after the 02:08 mark. They chose some decent eyecandy 'pieces for the video.

i remember my former co-worker use to club hard. one monday morning, this dude comes straight from the spot with a white cd. telling me this was the sog that was killing the club all night. that muthafucka put that song on repeat for 2 hrs. i was about to kill his ass in the office.:lol:
