This thread made me think of this question:
Young woman commits suicide due to failed job search
Of course, she was white.
All too often, it has been written that Whites don't empathize with us so why should we empathize with them?
Why would I be empathetic toward my enemy?
Some show empathy to their enemy, but only just before they are defeated.
As a whole, no, but individual yes... Only because once you start seeing people as non people you become less of a man yourself...
Don't believe me, look at any racist white man and ask yourself are these the actions of a human or an animal who's a predator of man...
you should show empathy to any human being who has suffered or is suffering. but a lot of dudes on bgol confuse empathy with servitude.
most dudes on bgol are either funny, insightful, politically astute, etc. but a couple are straight out borderline maniacal and schizophrenic
Psychopaths' Brains Aren't Wired To Show Empathy, Study Finds
Psychopaths are unable to show empathy toward others because their brains aren't wired to do so, according to a new study in JAMA Psychiatry.
Researchers from the University of Chicago used brain imaging technology to find that psychopaths have less activation in certain parts of the brain and high activation in other parts of the brain, compared with people who are not psychopaths, in response to scenarios of people being purposely hurt.
Keep telling yourself it's because they are the enemy blah blah...
If you feel no empathy for loss of life you are a psychopath. I forget what show it was but a woman had to shoot and kill a man that was breaking into her house to harm her. She was distraught because no matter the reason she had to take a life.
I know a lot of you disagree or can't comprehend this...."Psychopaths are unable to show empathy toward others because their brains aren't wired to do so"
Yes we should. We are soulful, loving, caring, forgiving human being. Its in our nature and we cannot change our nature. But we should also do a better job of being conscience, educated, and aware of their nature and propensities.
