Shit Is Getting Real:kansas City Close Half Their School's

I try to be optimistic about the economy and all but when it get to the point where schools are facing the possibility of being closed and teachers and counselor's are getting cut from their jobs it just makes me believe lees and less that things will get better.

I'm beginning to wonder if this will be the way of life

damn bruh took the words right outta my mouth

I'm almost praying to God that he's joking. Please let this be sarcasm.

our shit was sabotaged and you realize you only learned till 8th cause of
the weak ass curriculum.

I went to un-sabotaged schools and then came back to d.c. shit was sad.:smh:

I CAN'T BELIVE WHAT YOU JUST TYPED. R AND S CONFIGURATIONS ARE WHAT IS NEEDED FOR YOU TO STAY ALIVE.I'LL TELL YOU A LITTLE AND YOU CAN GOOGLE THE REST. CONSTITUTIONAL ISOMERS ARE VITAL FOR ALL OF US TO STAY ALIVE. IF A CERTAIN DRUG HAS AN S FORMATION IT CAN BE LETHAL IF THE SAME DRUG HAS AN R FORMATION IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. SCIENCE IS NECESSARY WHETHER YOU WANT TO ADMITT IT OR NOT. :smh:

What the hell is you talkin bout R & S configurations? Get da fuck outta here with that bullshit

I am truly shocked. I am only hoping that you are some 13 to 16 year old. :smh: You would have had to have taken Chem I and Chem II to even understand all the rules, so I tried to find links with info that may not be too difficult to understand. R and S is a vital part of organic chemistry.

I dont need to know that bullshit fam.

Its all political. The superintendent and his cabinet have no ties to the city and have no clue of the discipline problems already plaguing the schools. Next year will be a disaster in the schools. I work there trust me I know first hand all the bull**** going on. All the new teachers will be layed off or fired and old ass teachers who have taught 20 plus years who dont do shit will keep their jobs..:angry:

BUT YET WE HAVE MONEY FOR HAITI. FUCK THAT BULL SHIT!!!!

Let's it keep, Halo. You're disgruntled over the issue that America is unwilling to close its doors to the world. Again, we're not the only country that pledged to aid Haiti. Now, that the smoke is cleared concerning Haiti, you don't hear a sound about domestic aid except lobbyists out to destroy a domestic health care agenda.

By the way, bringing up our domestic issues in the light of an overseas crisis is selfish as fuck!!

Schools accross the country are fucked it just a matter of time. Check this out about the detroit school board leader:

Detroit school board leader can’t write
Published on March 6, 2010 in Education. 25 Comments Tags: Detroit, literacy, Otis Mathis, reading, writing. By Joanne

A product of Detroit Public Schools now leads the school board that’s trying to raise worst-in-the-nation literacy scores. Otis Mathis can’t write, reveals Detroit News columnist Laura Berman. The board president’s e-mails are notoriously garbled:

Do DPS control the Foundation or outside group? If an outside group control the foundation, then what is DPS Board row with selection of is director? Our we mixing DPS and None DPS row’s, and who is the watch dog?

In another e-mail:

If you saw Sunday’s Free Press that shown Robert Bobb the emergency financial manager for Detroit Public Schools, move Mark Twain to Boynton which have three times the number seats then students and was one of the reason’s he gave for closing school to many empty seats.

Mathis concedes, “I’m a horrible writer.” He was placed in special education in fourth grade and was “kicked out” of several high schools.

He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1973 with what he says was a 1.8 grade-point average but was previously reported as a .98 average. After serving in the Navy, Wayne State placed him in a special program to help academically unqualified students move forward, on the G.I. Bill.

He was unable to earn a degree because he couldn’t pass Wayne State’s English proficiency exam. Mathis sued unsuccessfully in 1992 to get the requirement dropped, saying repeated failure “made me feel stupid.” The requirement was abolished in 2007; Mathis collected his degree the next year.

Mathis told Berman he can read, but “sometimes needs to read documents two or three times to fully comprehend their contents.”

After working as a counselor at Wayne State, Mathis worked as a substitute teacher in Detroit schools, ran a nonprofit and served on the Wayne County Commission. He is liked by colleagues, who elected him board president on a 10-1 vote.

Mathis and some of his supporters say he’s a role model, showing that it’s possible to succeed despite limitations. He understands the problems, backers say.

Berman asks:

Is it absurd for a man who cannot write a simple English sentence to serve as the board president? Or to lead the elected board of a district that ranks at the nation’s bottom for literacy?

Yes, it is. Getting along well with others is a useful skill. Persistence is admirable. But Detroit students need to learn to read and write.

I dont need to know that bullshit fam.

Ok, that is fair enough. But what if you have children that want to grow up to be doctors or pharmacists? (I'm not being a smart ass) They will need more than an 8th grade education to accomplish that task.

Crazy thing is tomorrow Fulton County Schools will likely be cutting 500 jobs. These includes Teachers, Counselors, Psychologists, CUstodians, Social Workers, and Secretaries which mean that classrooms will bow be at the maximum amount, students will more likely be deprived of assistance from teachers, and more work for teachers.

Rossini don't need that bullshit. He gets his pharmaceuticals off the street.

Its interesting to see how the housing market just fucked up all areas of the economy from automobiles, jobs, public transportation, education, law enforcement, and other things. I hope things get better and hope America is learning its lesson about GREED. Cause when it all boils down it was GREED that caused us to be in the position we are in. Banks issuing out loans to people who could not afford it. People purchasing unnecessary things to keep up with the Jones'!

You have been misled.

If the gov't paid for every house that was bought cash, it still would not spend 700 billion.

You need to catch up on your reading.

The money wasn't for Haiti.

It was for American companies providing services in Haiti.

Check the pockets of the multi-national companies and the military services companies.

Rossini's Law:
Everything that can be learned about life will be learned by 8th grade.

Hey wasn't it Socrates that said when we are in the womb, we have knowledged of everything. And when we are born the trauma causes us to loose all knowledge and we have to relearn. I think Rossini's law is more pliable than Socrates.:cool:
