She's Back...Mo'Nique Comedy Special On Showtime

How about just processing the accuracy of it.

Well if we want to get “Technical”, she’s been doing comedy since 1990 which makes 30 years.

People are paying to see her so to them she’s funny, so it’s “Accurate”.

As far as her comedy chops go, quoting Wesley Snipes, "you can put a cat in an oven, that doesn't make it a biscuit". I dare say as many who paid to see her comedy and liked it an equal number if not more came away disappointed. Apparently you appreciate her profane for profanity sake routines, many do not. To each his, or her, own. :hmm:

If people pay to see a person perform, they’re entertained by that person.

Now if you believe people pay to get upset and disappointed at her shows, to each their own...

How did Ashy Larry get tricked into this guest lineup of literal nobodies? He must owe a favor or be more hard up than I realized.
Don't think so, especially since only one (wanda) seemed to back her
To be fair... Wanda made that ONE Instagram post in immediate response to the "boycott". After that one knee jerk reaction tweet, you can not find even one report where Wanda speak about Monique again. Wanda had several TV, radio and print interviews around that same time promoting her own special on Epix - Monique's name never came out of her mouth even once.

And Viola Davis' "cosign" was more about the struggles for women (particularly Black women) in the entertainment industry in general. That's an issue Viola has been vocal about for many years, and she has not addressed Monique's specific situation with Netflix whatsoever.

Judging from your past posts on various topics, and this one as well, you come across as an all negative, all the time, sarcastic, arrogant, argumentative contrarian when countering opposing views expressed by others. Bet that's not the first time you've been told that, no doubt won't be the last. Don't bother with a response because reading it and responding to it would just be a waste of my time and I am choosing not to. :hmm:

Lose the "I'm not reading comments", it's lame.

Let's talk intelligence and perspective, you commented on a joke that I said to another member. A joke that you felt to need to add to.

Also you seem to have a problem with facts. At no point did I say Monique was funny to me. I simply responded to your smug comment with facts, and apparently you don't like facts.

If 5000 people pay to see Monique perform, she's funny to them. She doesn't need to be funny to you or me. The same with any other performer.

And please don't respond , I don't want to talk about Monique to you anymore because you don't get it.

I dig Her acting and when she going after Oprah..i gave her stand up a chance.. Youtube got em. She need writers.

She need some writer bad, I was with her for a few minutes, then it went belly up.
I remember seeing her in an Atlanta Comedy club before she blew up.

Very true, because when Wanda finally got her Netflix special and they "moved that comma", Mo'nique became an afterthought.

So she's splitting an hour with 5 other people and this is a win? I guess it is if she got what netflix was offering and only has to do 10-15 minutes of work.
Shes headlining and producing. Id call that a win.
Maybe now she'll shut the hell up!
Or maybe cats like you will. :dunno:

Bullshit. Wanda sopke on and co-signed Moniques sentiment and comments on several occasions and during several interviews. And even if it was just one time, how does that discount the validation at all? You niggas is clowns.

I tried I couldn't do it @ 1:39 I had to bail. Can't see myself watching her do anything but leave.
