That in and of itself is kind of sad. It definitely cast her as an idiot.
BUT
I feel that sista when she said the thing on her mind at the time take precedent over suchj trivial thing like the world being flat. I would take making sure my child's need were met over the "star-gazing" that the others were talking about anyday.
Think about this. Most people don't even reference God or Science in there everyday dealings. Most think about religion as an after thought to their misdeeds. Now, i'm not saying this is right or wrong. Just think about what this says about today's world.
Personally, I don't think the chick really believes in God anymore than the average person was taught to.

I felt embarrassed for her. First, if you get thru the 5th grade...you should know the earth is round. I feel you can feed and take care of your kids and still have this general knowledge locked in your brain. That excuse was pretty juvenile. Second, if you start talking religion...know your stuff. If you follow the new testament, at least know there is an old testament...pre-dating Jesus.

Really. None of us knows that the earth is really round. Call it conspiracy theory or whatever, but there is no way for any of us to know... Just how we were all sold that Columbus discovered "America" for all these years, Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves (and he owned slaves), Africans are inferior to Europeans (ooops. some of us still believe this). To me that is not an issue I care about. Nor do I care if there is intelligent life on other planets and I don't care if a planet is round or flat. Just like her I got enough problems worrying about my life and my family & community here on the round or flat Earth. Whoopi is always so bitchy to Sherri. If you don't like someone, at least be respectful. I don't see her always attacking Elisabeth's dumb ass liek she does Sherri

Of course if you have never been in a Space Shuttle and saw the earth from space...you cannot be 100% sure the earth is round. However, if one didn't fall asleep in science class and understand the basics of Astronomy, the law of gravity and has ever taken a flight somewhere...I think we can conclude the earth is round (unless your research tells you different). I don't know how many people on this board truly understand how electricity works either...but we use it everyday and we do understand that there is something called "electricity". I think she can feed her children and understand the "world is round" concept at the same time.

We can't conclude nothing about it. It's like the immenstiy of God. How can I grasp my mind around that? At least with electricity I use it everyday and it is man made so I can understand that & when I jump I always come down (proving gravity). My point was that Whoopi is always putting her on blast and that isn't cool.
