Here's how it goes down in my house. I always say take up the girls' food first. She never listens. Her reasoning is yes as parents we both want the girls to eat. But the mother daughter bond, like the father daughter bond is life long. But the Husband Wife bond is a fickle thing, and if you don't maintain it, it will disintegrate. Now, that said, I don't want idiots to jump off talking about subservience etc. Because I can handle myself in the kitchen, and when its my turn I flip it and do her EXACTLY how she does me. Take up hers first, give her the biggest/best meat etc. And she tries to tell me the same thing I tell her talking about "take up the girls' plates first. And I gloat and revel in the chance to say it right back to her!!!
