why god need all that money......

So many ignorant Black folks aren't smart enough to know a scam when they see one when most of the scams are directed right at us.

Drugs (including alcohol): Drugs are ABSOLUTELY no good for you. Look around your neighborhood in the ghetto. Malt Liquor signs and ads, cigarette signs and ads are all over the place. Go to a majority White neighborhood. Do you see the same ads, or any ad in such abundance? No.

As far as drugs, most get you chemically hooked or hooked on the feeling. You, lacking any self control (for the ones not making you chemically dependent (and chemically unable to enact self control for the ones that ARE making you chemically dependent) now you have a habit for life or one that is seemingly impossible to break. Alcohol is a drug, people. More harmful than crack or heroin and more popular because it is legal and more people are doing it. Drugs make it difficult to stay in your lane when you have a semi truck on either side of you on the highway of life. One swerve could be it for you.

Lottery: Black People spent more on the lotto than they do in church. Listen to this: A one in 176,000,000 chance to win Mega Millions. That is 176 MILLION! Your odds are so small that they are hardly a chance at all. Yet our people spend $20's and $100's on this shot in the dark in one shot. They never win, but they keep playing, believing that they will increase their odds by playing more money, and more money. You DO increase your odds...by a millionth of a percent, and that isn't enough to justify spending hundreds of dollars or even a twenty. I saw a guy play $250 on Mega Millions one day and he didn't win a thing...not even a mega ball.

You would assume that by my stance that I don't play, right? Wrong. I play. But I know the odds are stacked against me so I play in moderation. $1 per $100,000,000, so $2 for $200,000,000 and $3 for $300,000,000. I won $7 this week on a $1 ticket. If I win big, great. If I lose, which I probably will, I didn't lose anything of any significance. I bought a pop. I cannot pay a bill or get a gallon of gas for what I just lost. I can live with it. Last year I won almost 2/3 of my money back by getting a mega ball here and there and 2 balls and a mega ball there. It is a surefire scam, but I saw it coming and I played it as conservatively as Jim Tressel plays offense. Maybe I will win it one day; however, if I don't I won't go broke.

Church: When it comes to church I throw all of my money in the air. What God wants he takes. The money that falls on the ground is mine to keep.

You have to pay for salvation, right? This is what they lead you to believe. Oh contraire mon frere. Your ticket to heaven (if it does truly exist) is free. Tithing isn't even required and it says it in the bible. Minister Michael Perryman New Birth Church in East Cleveland preached this. He followed it up with scripture, but my sister went to his service, not I. The popular bible verse where God is seemingly chastising the people for not giving is directed at THE CHURCH, not the people. People were to give what they could. If they had 10 cows, they could give a sick one. That was the best they could do. But then the people of the church were keeping the best for themselves and not giving to God. This is the reason for that verse, but they don't tell you that, do they?

"You don't want your man of God to fly coach, do you?" this is what Bishop Luther Blackwell of Mega Church in Cleveland said to his flock of sheep. He was taking his wife on a trip to Africa for their anniversary and he was asking church members to foot the bill. And they did. I fly coach. I have always flown coach. I have never flown first class, yet. Why should I ensure somebody else fly first class on a trip that I or my family isn't going?

If I was a shadier person I would start my own church and get rich off of the backs of my congregation like Bishop Blackwell does at Mega Church. But I am not that evil. I am not that heartless. Tell me of a church when the pastor has a "beat around" car? Where the pastor has a simple car-a Civic or an Accord or even a Kia Sportage? They are as rare as that winning lottery ticket I spoke of earlier. I have known and heard of people giving their last to the church when their lights are off in their homes. They have it in their minds from these shady pastors, preachers and bishops that they have to pay for salvation, that they have to pay for God's help. If you give to the church, God will give it back to you ten fold.

Open your eyes. From the pastor to the Deacons to the elders, they are living good off of their parishioners dollars. All the while the parish is struggling to pay their bills. They are getting or have gotten rich off of this money and continue to get even richer. It's a hustle. A scam. In the hood, the only thing that you see more often than churches are liquor stores. Our fathers, uncles, and their friends saw it as a way of making legal money and so did many of our ancestors. Some of the people are a lot worse than others when they scam us in their, "One for the church, one two three for me" game, but they all profit. And it is a tax-free business.

My mother once said when I asked her, "If you found out that your pastor was stealing money from the church, would you continue to give the same as you do now?" She told me, "Yes. Him stealing or misusing my tithes is between him and God." This is where the rule of parenting comes in. If you think your kid is stealing out of your wallet or purse...move your wallet or purse. You cut off access to what is being taken. When you were in school and you didn't study for the test. You look over at your neighbor's paper and got some answers. When they caught you staring what did they do? They covered it up. Exactly.

I am not against church, don't get this wrong. Church gives us morals, which keep many of us from doing too much wrong (as I said, it is because of this that I don't start my own church to get rich with). Church keeps many people off the street, helps some people get off of drugs and other dependencies. But don't get it twisted. Church IS a business, and don't you ever forget it. They need your money to keep the doors open. The question is[is your money opening up Cadillac doors as well...
