Man dem look a mess

Even if it wasn't about taking his property and getting fired on, fools be testing you all day long like something is wrong with them. I always assume somebody is packing heat or could destroy you for disrespecting them.

Nah these fools are oblivious to it.

The problem is just confronting the guy in the first place!!!

Call the fucking police!!

Its not just brothers. Quite a few white athletes have filed for Bankruptcy. Christian Laettner filed for Bankruptcy and defrauded people. It is common for Athletes to have money problems after retirement because they get so much money for only a few years. It takes more discipline and planning that regular folks with incremental raises and a pension. Additionally, the media puts more attention on Black folks when faults are identified. If Farve was Black, he would have dominated the airwaves. Finally, Black folks have fewer support systems. Because of systemic racism, many Black athletes dont have family members with wealth or connections. White folks statistically have more money and connections. So when we encounter large scale financial difficulties, we typically don't have family members to contact for financial advice or monetary assistance. The advice we might get is on the illegal side because that is typically what we have been exposed to. Alot of Black athletes are from the hood and overcame environments with illegal activity. When on hard times, that is what is given as an option. If they came from backgrounds of Farming, they would probably look into investing and working on a farm if they fell on hard times.

Way more athletes have went broke. This list is missing Curt Shilling, Johnny Unitas,Jack Clark, Bryan Trottier,Dan Marino,Bernie Kosar,Jack Johnson,Mark Brunell, and John Daley. John Elway was almost broke before he got his Executive position. How many Black former NFL players are Executives in the NFL? It's not so much that Black players are more irresponsible with money as it is that they don't have the same support systems. Much of this is due to systematic generational racism. Yet another example of why we deserve and need Reparations. Sean Kemp grew up in one of the most crime riden towns in Indiana. He didn't have family with money. His peers didn't have money. So how was he going to learn about managing money? Then when he fell on hard financial times, who was going to guide him to navigate it? Who was going to refer him to knowledgeable people to guide him? Who was going to give him the opportunity to get another income source? Once the money ran low, he fell back into the activities of the environment he grew up in and was comfortable with. When Christian Laettner went broke, he likely didn't know anyone selling dope or doing drive bys. He went through private school, Duke, and is white. So as a star player who went broke, he had much different options than Sean Kemp had. Not making excuses for Kemp, but pointing out the disparity.

SEATTLE -- Prosecutors in Washington state charged former NBA star Shawn Kemp on Friday with first-degree assault in a parking lot shooting last month over a stolen cellphone, saying that a text message Kemp sent just before the shooting showed his intent to confront and shoot the person who had allegedly stolen from him.
Kemp was arrested after the shooting outside the Tacoma Mall on March 8. No one was injured, and Kemp's lawyers have insisted he returned fire in self defense after tracking and trying to retrieve a cellphone that had been stolen from him earlier that day.
In a written statement sent by defense attorney Tim Leary on Friday, Kemp's legal team said he would plead not guilty: "He is confident that once the jury hears from the witnesses and sees the evidence at trial, they will conclude that he was justified in defending himself that afternoon."
A probable cause statement by Tacoma police, filed in Pierce County Superior Court on Friday, did not indicate Kemp was shot at. It said some of his statements were not corroborated by surveillance video, and that the text message sent just 13 minutes before he arrived at the mall showed his intent.
The document said Kemp told police that after being shot at he went back to his own vehicle, parked several spots away, to get his own gun. But the video showed that he was armed with the weapon when he approached the parked Toyota 4Runner where he had tracked his phone.
According to the statement, Kemp tracked his phone to a Toyota 4Runner sport utility vehicle that was parked near a JCPenney department store. He parked his own car, a Porsche, several spots away, grabbed a handgun out of a backpack and approached the 4Runner, the statement said.
The statement said he fired three times into the Toyota and then threw his gun into some bushes. The driver of the 4Runner appeared to duck one of the shots and eventually drove off, it said. Only about five minutes elapsed from the time Kemp arrived until the time the 4Runner left.
The bullets that struck the 4Runner went through the front license plate mount, the front quarter panel toward the steering wheel and through the front passenger door.
Kemp is due to be arraigned May 4.
Kemp, who has two licensed cannabis stores in Seattle, was a six-time NBA all-star and played for the Seattle SuperSonics from 1989 to 1997. He also played for Cleveland, Portland and Orlando.
Kemp made his NBA debut during the 1989-90 season as a 20-year-old who had never played college basketball. He became known for his high-flying dunks.

Good point on Favre...that story is big but should be much bigger if one is to look at how they talk about Antonio Brown, T.O. back in the day etc

If Kemp really was trying to get his shit back, I hope he beats this charge man

I'll never understand why folks try to track down people and then take their shit back!!

Just call the cops. All you are going to do is get yourself killed or in some sort of legal trouble your damn self!!!!

There’s no way any of you niggas commenting are in shape. Niggas in shape are at the gym not posting online.

Cops aren’t going to go to court and get a subpoena just because someone says someone else stole their shit. Especially if it’s a Black man. Even in the small chance they did, your shot will be gone by the time they get the subpoena to look.

I agree with you that it is irresponsible. I’m giving a reason why people go the vigilante route rather than call the cops.

The older I get the less judgmental I’ve gotten. Everything has nuance. I live a fairly responsible life but if someone stole something very near and dear to me and I knew where it was, I could see grabbing my pistol to get it. I’d call the cops for most stuff but if it was something that was important enough, I’d go and get it.
