I'm in NJ, and used to work and hang out a lot in NYC... so honestly, being from this area, my opinion may be unfairly skewed, because growing up with a lot of Puerto Rican and Dominican chicks, it was almost a natural fit (not always, but mostly).
One thing I can say is that you should learn some latin dancing. Some of the most fun nights I've had were in this little latin spot in Jersey with some friends of mine, two of whom were latinas... they taught me Merengue, and although I can't say I'm great at doing it.... doing that shit for hours and the body contact from being on the dance floor... shiiiiit, let's just say it facilitated some pussy-gettin!
