I had a young cat from my 3rd party subcontractor doing controls for my HVAC units two years back. Rail thin, smelled like Winston Red's, Red Bull, and ass.
Anyways, cat couldn't function worth a fuck Monday through Friday. Dude would forget his instruments, his laptop, his fucking mind- spaced out in his truck listening to Led Zepplin. I couldn't get shit out if him.
Until....
Saturday.
On Saturday he'd come in and FLAWLESSLY knock out a weeks worth of controls in 4 hours. Literally running from unit to unit then back to the network room to bang in points.
After about 3 months of this I pull him aside and ask him.
"You know you ain't worth a fuck Monday through Friday and then you Jesus with a laptop on Saturday. What gives."
Dude looked me dead in the eyes and said.
"I get paid on Fridays and spend the night getting tweaked the fuck out [meth]. I take my biggest hit before I come on your jobsite so I can bang this lil mickey mouse shit out...I'm a professional."
From that day forth I adjusted the schedule to have controls completed on Saturdays!

Muffuckin trim carpenter...was trimming a house for a month for the last month..and on the last day he left his tools and came back the next day and they were missing..a whole trailer full of shit...the builder claimed it on the insurance, only to find out after he gave dude the check for over 30000.00 the neighbor had video footage that he hooked up to the trailer himself....contractors are the worst..brah

Tell the tech you want to hold onto the old drive for a couple days "to try & backup your old info, then you will send the drive back yourself"
Especially if you had sensitive info on there
The old/original parts have to go back to the manufacture Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc (for accountability)
But they give customers a 7 day grace period, to hold it & then return, if you need to retrieve data or wipe it clean
Cause if the tech takes/returns the drive back.....he probably will be up in yo shit looking for homegrown pics & vids

I have worked remote jobs from home for the last 5 yrs when you work at home from customer service to tech support each company requires you to download their "specialized" system scan tool to see if your personal CPU is strong enough to run their programs, but actually their specialized tool is really spyware that monitors over your whole CPU, they install keylogger's, malware to monitor your webcam and everything you do, also it copies everything on your CPU, Some company's ship you a thin client to hook up to the computer that hijacks your whole system to monitor.

Knowlegdge is not only credit knowledge is power and job security. In construction we are high priced migrant workers- management too, which is what I am- and you can work your way out of a job if you give up the ghost so to speak.
'Making Sure' is standard practice in construction because the same person who gets the credit is usually the same person whose going to get the blame if shit fucks up and I'll be damn if I'm taking the heat and none of the credit.

That being said, the money pit in a demoed building is the electrical rooms that house the breakers- the center piece being the main electrical room that houses the main gear switch. Thick wire, all copper, big money in scrap.
The electrician won the demo on the electrical rooms. My demo guy was pist.
Demo is to start in a week.
Two days prior to demo, I get a frantic call from my electrician to come out to the job site. He asks me if I fucked him by allowing the demo guy access to the electrical rooms. I told him I thought he got a jump start on shit and being proactive. He didn't.
Uh oh...
We went into the main electrical room and the shit was immaculately stripped bare. In most cases raids are smash and dash jobs- at the very least to make it LOOK like someone off the street did it. No, these fuckers took their time to the point that they put the screws back into electrical panels and shit so it looked like no one stole anything until you opened up a panel to find that it has no wire in it or unscrewed an electrical conduit to find it empty.
Whole school stripped bare. Niggas even took the light bulbs.
I call up my demo guy to inform him who is laughing his ass off. He tells me that he was onsite a week earlier doing prep work before taking down the building and before he'd leave he'd see a couple of trucks show up to the school each evening, guys would jump out with hard hats, safety glasses, vests, etc and get to work. They'd leave when he got back the next morning.
"Those weren't the electricians!?! Them fools looked like electricians! Well fuck [the electrician] that should've been my copper anyways!"
I come to find out months later that the school district (HISD) has a secret "midnight crew" of cats who find out which schools are scheduled for demo and/or mechanical/electrical overhauls and raids them before general construction starts and line their pockets off the scrap. Apparently this was their signature night project of the year because they had about 10 cats working over night on the shit. They even rented connexes to load the copper up to get hauled off. Rough estimate....about 500k in copper for a week worth of work split between 10 cats and the dudes they paid to look the other way.

Haha... There's money in junk metals..Not many folks know about that!! When dealing with scrap copper, you better know what your fucking around with.. The voltage, the size of the cable and color codes help. If you get into 277/480 that voltage is the most dangerous because it senses a fault as load and keeps pushing amps at it..

Swear to the Lord above..I have fucked several big hipped cleaning ladies..as the electrician I'm usually the last guy lingering around the job..and they go fast and hard like the nba housewives looking for a balling ass contractor...brah
