Coming 2 America was initially scheduled to be theatrically released by Paramount Pictures in the United States and Canada on August 7, 2020,[35] and then pushed back to December 18, 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic began.[36][37][38] On October 13, 2020, Amazon Studios acquired the domestic distribution rights to the film for $125 million, and will release it digitally on Prime Video on March 5, 2021, excluding countries where Paramount will handle theatrical distribution.[1]
