Dawg, you just proved my point, you need to understand what u are reading. Transmitting when there are no signs or symptoms present means that an outbreak IS occurring you just can't tell. Outbreaks do not occur 100% of the time, only several times a year. During this time Herpes will not spread. But just like your quote said, when outbreaks do occur it could be ASYMPTOMATIC and you won't know. THEN and ONLY THEN will you be contagious.

...this captured my range of emotions perfectly! Seriously though, statistically speaking it's actually quite rare to get herpes because of one isolated oral sexual encounter. I'm not saying it's not possible..it's just that usually it requires repeated exposure. Learn from your mistakes, but just know that from mathematical standpoint, the odds are definitely in your favor.
