Samsung Unveils The 6" Galaxy A9 With Full HD Super AMOLED Display And 4000mAh Battery

Samsung just announced the Galaxy A9, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the ‘Galaxy A’ series at an event in China. It packs a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and 2.74mm narrow frame, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 (Previously 620) processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

It has dual SIM support with dedicated nano SIM slots and a microSD expansion slot, but this might be different in the international variant. It has 4G LTE connectivity, fingerprint sensor under the home button and packs a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. It has metal frame and glass back similar to the Galaxy S6 series smartphones.

The A5 was what gave away the fact that they were going away with the sd/removable battery in the Note/S line.

Since they're bringing them back for the A9 I'd be surprised if they didn't add them back to the Note and S7.

nah fam.

i seriously doubt that that 4,000 mAH battery will last for 16 hours of heavy usage and watching movies

but the need for a removable battery goes further than that.

for instance, my daughter has an iPhone 6 and after heavy, everyday use for over a year now, her battery life is getting shorter and guess what, she has to pay money to get a new battery installed soon. with a removable battery, you won't have to take it to a shop or send it to apple.
