==============================================

I just copped this. I'm gonna use it as a phone to bullshit with and keep in my car for emergencies and mainly as a music player for playing streaming music offline. Recently I've been looking for a highly portable wifi device for my car to play downloaded streaming music offline but I couldn't find any. This fits the bill. The phone is free after instant discount but you have to buy a $100 prepaid refill card to get this deal. It also comes with free SIM starter kit that you normally have to pay for. The $100 prepaid refill card lasts a whole year unlike the other prepaid cards refill cards that are less than $100 which minutes expire in 90 days until you buy a combined value of $100. Info on that here http://paulblow.tripod.com/tmobile-review.html and here https://www.t-mobile.com/promotions...eward_Prepaidplanslefttout2&WT.mc_t=OnsiteAda .

I think this "Pay As You Go" prepaid plan does not come with data, it only comes with talk and text. You can add data for more money if you want. I don't really care about that because I'm gonna just load the phone with offline streaming music using wifi. Apparently you can also make wifi phone calls with this phone also so that is also a plus. It has GPS but without data I think the only other option is to download Google Maps for offline use. Info on that here https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6291838?hl=en&rd=1 .

I'm not sure how long this deal will last so if you want one you better jump on it. It is backordered until next month though but apparently you can still purchase it.

The deal is back on.

I'm currently using my phone for the reason that I bought it for, to play streaming music offline in my car or wherever. It fits the bill. I put a 200GB mircoSD card in there. I only used 2GB so far.
If you going to get it for anything other than a beater phone I probably wouldn't recommend it because reviews said with the 8GB of built in storage you won't be able to install very many apps.
But for my purposes it fits the bill. Plus the price was right. If I sell the $100 refill card for the card's face value the phone will have only have cost me what I paid in tax (about $6).

I'm currently on the plan where I prepay $3/month for 30 minutes or 30 texts or any combination of the two. I'm just doing that because I'm going to keep it in my car 24/7 when it gets a little warmer outside and if I need to make an emergency phone call or something it will work. Otherwise I think I could just use wifi to do the music thing for free cause I was doing it without the phone service turned on for a while. But I think you lose your phone number if you don't have the phone service turned on for a while.
