yea a dude just told me today at the health food store,
when I looked at this small jar of honey they were selling for over forty dollars..
I said damn . and he said yea because thats real honey, them little bear shaped plastic bottles they sell in the supermarket is not real honey its colored syrupy honey flavored sugar and its makin a lot of people sick...
he also said the expensive honey came from a special flower that gives the honey proven healing properties..
I think it was called manoko or manuka some shit like that...
no joke most of that honey they sellin you in grocery stores is bullshit..

yea you could only get that real shit gourmet shops or healthfood stores in nyc...
and it aint cheap..

Yea I've seen that Manuka honey as well. I've been wanting to try it but that 40$ price tag discourages me.
Go to another store because either the guy is misinformed or he's peddling bullshit. Three of my great-uncles had a successful sourwood honey producing business in NC during the height of segregation. That honey on store shelves not being real honey because it doesn't contain pollen is BS. They just filter out the pollen because Americans are funny and expect honey to remain completely liquid. The minute it becomes illiquid they immediately think it's "spoiled". The impurities are removed to keep the honey from crystallizing. Manuka honey's price is grossly inflated much the same way DeBeers inflates the price of diamonds. Besides, manuka honey is from New Zealand. Honey bees aren't native there and most people who tout it's benefits don't know that.
I know but our health is worth it... medical bills are way higher...

I hear ya, but I only trust raw honey.. I dont trust a lot of shit especially after beech nut who makes baby food products was busted selling fake apple juice a couple of decades ago..
Im like if these fuckin corps dont care about babies when it comes to their bottom line imagine how they feel about adults..
I need that raw unfiltered shit..
