CHICAGO – More than 56,000 voters in a Chicago-area congressional district cast votes Tuesday for an avowed Nazi and Holocaust denier.
Self-proclaimed Nazi Arthur Jones, running as a Republican, managed more than a quarter of the vote against Democratic Rep. Dan Lipinski in the district that includes parts of Chicago’s South Side and several neighboring suburbs.
Lipinski, one of the most conservative Democrats in the House, coasted to re-election.
Jones, 70, ran unopposed in the GOP primary to capture the party's nomination in March. State Republican leaders, who hadn't bothered to put up a candidate in the longtime Democratic stronghold, immediately urged voters to shun him.
Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner urged district residents to “vote for anybody but Jones.”
Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican, also weighed in.
“To the good people of Illinois, you have two reasonable choices: write in another candidate, or vote for the Democrat,” Cruz wrote on Twitter. “This bigoted fool should receive ZERO votes.”

I think in Tariq's mind he thinks he destroyed Roland Martin and that's because of the timing of TVOne canceling News One Now which came months after Tariq started with the puppet and as a result for people who do not follow Roland's work regularly, it's easy for Tariq to frame the whole thing as if he's the reason for the cancelation, when in actuality it probably had more to do with budget than anything else. Tariq has NOT turned Roland into a pariah in Black society, there are plenty of Black people who are willing and want to talk to him and be on his show. Roland is the one interviewing Botham Jean's mother and Bothan Jean's lawyers and keeping up to date on stuff concerning Black issues once they fade from the mainstream. I know Roland has his issues that would be "problematic" and I know that Roland would love to be on a big network such as CNN or MSNBC but at the same time Tariq's reasons for not wanting to debate him are just silly and he looks very scared.
I personally would enjoy it, Tariq to his credit, he will do his research but Roland will too and I think that would be an interesting debate probably the most interesting one Tariq has ever had.
