when is he going to stop this madness man....

Denis Lebedev, 22-1, 17 KO’s, destroyed former light heavyweight king, Roy Jones, JR., 54-8, 40 KO’s, in Moscow. Roy used some of his ring smarts to land on the aggressive Russian cruiserweight, but the pressure eventually got to him, and with a few seconds left in the 10th round, Lebedev landed and Roy collapsed face first.

At this point, there is no word as to the condition of Jones, JR., but as I suspected, this fight was dangerous for Roy, and I hope that he makes it out of this fight without any permanent damage. Lebedev got a name on his record now, and is now on the map, but he basically beat up an old man.

Damn. I hope he's okay too. He looked real bad. dude finished him off the way Marciano did Jersey Joe Walcott. :smh:

I hear there are actually discussions for him to fight Chris Arreola if he can win his next fight. Either that or he might pursue a rematch with Lebedev first. Hopefully one of those guys will seriously injure him so that he will just stop once and for all. If Lebedev was going to knock him out in the 10th, he should have given Jones a thorough beatdown to the body for the first 9 rounds. Lebedev looked like he could have taken Jones out at any time. I think Lebedev probably would not have even decided to take Jones out had Jones not stunned him at the ending of the 9th round. After Jones kind of stunned him, to me it seemed like Lebedev wanted to put him in his place because Lebedev was just letting this guy live in the previous rounds.

I only wish Lebedev would have really just beaten on Jones body during the first 9 rounds because this is what Jones needs. He needs to be beaten on to the point where he thinks about quitting in the ring because for the most part he can still take it to the body but he just can't resist shots to the head.

For Jones to just retire already, we need someone to bring him to the brink of quitting by seriously assaulting his body and then this person needs to deliver hellacious head shots on him to put him out cold. In other words, a total and complete shock and awe ass whipping! Jones will either die in the process, be maimed, but you can be damned sure he will just retire or the commissions will say "fuck that" and never license him again. I call this tough love.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. you got to :confused::smh:

I know he needs the money because of the IRS is on his ass but there should be some type of liability clause from anyone that approves this man get back in the ring.

and yeah..my biggest concern what that he got knocked out with only 20 seconds left and he would see some type of silver lining....as if there is still some possibility for him

Maaaaaaaaaaan... what the fuck? Was this fight only allowed because it was in Moscow? I mean I'm really trying to understand. Cause I know it was still in 2010 that someone posted a story about him being brain damaged and should have stopped fighting in 2003 after the first Tarver fight. I personally felt like he should have stopped after he took the heavyweight title from John Ruiz. I mean either defend it or retire. But he went back down to Light Heavyweight, and was never the same. This is one of those sad cases, unfortunately happening to the one boxer I never wanted to see it happen to, cause Roy is my favorite. But damn, why don't Alton Mercuson stop training him, I'm sure that would be a red flag. Then he had the dude hurt not a minute or so before he got knocked out. The old Roy woulda ended the fight right there, he's just not capable anymore. His trainer was saying back when he lost to Glenn Johnson that it was probably time to retire cause he gettin hit with too many right hands; which is supposed to be the firs indication that your reflexes are shot. That was eight years ago. :smh:
