is not even in press yet you will see it later today i am sure I got a phone call straight from yard another reggae musician
all I know is that he was diagnosed a few months ago with some type of angina heart condition and that he passed late saturday night

Foundation dancehall / reggae singer, Lincoln ‘Sugar’ Minott is dead. He reportedly died earlier this evening, and although the cause of death has not yet been publicized, just a couple months ago Dancehall.Mobi reported that he was gravely ill and had been diagnosed as having Angina Pectoris – a severe heart condition – and ordered by his doctor to rest. R.I.P. to the original ‘Godfather of Dancehall’.

Dancehall/reggae veteran Sugar Minott is said to be gravely ill, as doctors have reportedly diagnosed him with Angina Pectoris, a heart condition where there is a severe chest pain caused by lack of blood and oxygen supply to the heart muscle, which is generally due to obstruction or spasm of the heart’s blood vessels (via Wikipedia). He is now resting under doctor’s supervision, and Dancehall.Mobi wishes him a speedy recovery.
As a result of his medical condition
, Minott is not able to travel at this time, and will not be performing tonight at ‘Kingston Class Reunion‘ in Toronto, Canada; but the show will go on, and he has asked his daughter Tamar Minott (who is also a performer) to perform his catalogue.
