Sadly, the coming years will bring more and more deaths of the greats. Father Time is undefeated, but I take solace in the fact that we had the technology to capture these magnificent artists for all time.

I tell you man, when my idols Gamble and Huff pass I'll cry like when Thom did.

No decade was finer for R&B than the 70s.
