Especially when most of her fans are the same ones that think souja boy is the hottest thing since slice bread.
But if T-Pain's album can reach number 1,it is not surprising that an untalented artist like Rihanna would be successful.

Its not a very good one. However knowing how it seems that the music industry sways it will probably end up being a hit.
This song won't even be showing up on an album until 2009 or 2010. Not sure why anyone would want to leak it, if it's even legit in the first place. (She just released her 8th OFFICIAL hit from her current monster-smash album)
I don't believe that's even Rihanna singing. It's the writer of the song trying to SELL the song to Rihanna. One of hundreds of demos Def Jam has received for the next album.

Too bad 99.9% of the "only pretty" singers out there get nowhere.
It's all about (as always) a combination of looks, talent, freshness, GREAT SONGS, astute management and hard work.
Seriously though... and I have liked a few Rihanna songs... she isnt that talented.. she has a helluva team behind her.. but her vocal skills are sub-par. I've seen her live and she just isn't pure, real talent.. a lot of the pure, real talent is out there undiscovered... rihanna gives the public what they want...
She can sing well enough, and obviously has a very distinctive vocal style which makes her stand out. There's no point wasting time and money on someone who can't deliver. She's been delivering (on record and live) for several years now (and is still a baby). No one exoected her to be more than a one-hit wonder, yet she's now one of the most successful artists of the decade (despite having to make it in a foreign country). She's far exceeded expectations. Definitely surprised me with her durability, continued success and evolution.
Believe it or not, it's not like you can just throw a pretty face on stage and get 5 #1 hits out of her. There's a lot more going on there than just that.
She has all the elements of the complete package (including a great work ethic), if not overwhelming talent in any one area (or even the best looks).
So go discover it, and sponsor it with YOUR money.
