Maybe I didn't articulate myself correctly, but I never meant to promote vigilanteism. I meant to encourage black people to play an active role in our safety and that of our communities instead of putting that responsibility in the hands of those that are incentivized to violate, hate, and mace us.

I think we should absolutely do that and we ARE doing that. We've BEEN doing that for YEARS since all this stupid shit popped off.
Problem is, there are more of us influencing children and providing them BAAAAAAADDDDD models and examples to follow. I've seen moms with 3-4 kids in the grocery store cussing at 3-6 year olds like they are adults. Threatening to punch them in the face, not hit them with a belt, PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE. Single moms fucking in front of their kids. I've seen situations where fathers raped their moms in front of the children. Older cousins and uncles grooming the kids for criminal activity. Downplaying school and college but upplaying getting money in the streets. Hoes that can't get babysitters so they having johns off the street fuck them with the kids in the next room. Kids witnessing murders right outside their doorstep. Parents depending on teachers to raise their kids because they themselves can't speak proper english and don't know SHIT about STEM. Moms getting jealous of their own daughters because they get more looks than their Moms. Moms telling their sons they are evil, inherently not shit just like their father. They learn no decorum. Loud and country as fuck when they need to be quiet. Trash EVERYWHERE that they walk past everyday that the saw adults throw on the ground. Hoes and niggas hustling at the gas station.
The whole environment is sick and desperate. Bill Cosby's pound cake speech told no lies.
