Your wrong on this one. This is an indictment on the black church. Go check out Father Pfleger on how he broke down the difference between when black and white people speak out against the government. This is about playing on white people fear and squashing what they don't understand. Huffington post is full of articles and comments wondering where all the comments are.
So far you only hear people talking and acting like this is going to hurt Obama. You haven't heard or seen that it actually has.

I wasn't talking about Condi Rice, I was speaking on how far should a person go to climb the ladder. I'm sure Colin Powell isn't too damn happy with his tarnished legacy and I think that there has to be a limit to how far Obama goes to get this nomination. It's not all good if he becomes president and sells out the black race to do it (since I'm black, I have a vested interest). There ARE limits.
Like I said, how he handles this Wright stuff will tell me a LOT about him. He spoke the truth in his Chris Wallace interview about Wright, if he flips and says anything denouncing what Wright has said this weekend, then my opinion of the dude will change because Wrights words may not be true to some redneck in Pennsylvania, but they are damn sure true to me.

Wright just forced race, religion, his association to Barak and a whole heap of other things back into the limelight. Barak actually did a good job diffusing the issue and moving on, but here it is again.
Why everybody continues to associate anyone questioning the timing of Wright's comments as being "afraid" or "scared" is ludacris. It is just not the best time (in many people's opinion) to get this off his chest. Everyone knows the rules. They are not fair, but KNOWING the rules should, at some point, give you the edge in winning the game. Wrights thrust back into the spotlight, potential, reset Obama again.

I don't think the timing was an option. I think the NAACP keynote address dictated the timing and I think Obama was informed and that is why he chose to finally speak to Fox News. Cats seem to be quick to find some sort of conspiracy in Wright's actions but fail to see the wider issue of what the media is currently doing.

B) well-attended by many democratic politicians, superdelegates and press who could not attempt to ignore, spin or distance his self-definitions and defense of the church, having been present.
I think it was a smart chess move for the black community and church, and as for the Obama argument, Wright was going to be brought up inevitably in the summer and fall.
I doubt this costs Obama Indiana, and even if it does I think this is going till June no matter what because the Dems need the new voters in 2010.
And Obama IS the nominee, and will NOT be robbed of victory by Clinton because it would destroy the Democratic party.
