Not trying to be funny here.
But what makes a Republican, a Republican?

And a Democrat, a Democrat?

What's the real differrence ?

Basically they started from the same group which had differences then split into different groups. These were the most valid links I could find.

Other than the links Republicans have been positively responsible for the frredom of slaves (Lincoln), Civil Rights (Luther King, Jr.) and small Goverment so it is held accountable.

Democrats have been responsible for the rights that led to the welfare system structure (Kennedy), Removal of religon from Educational institutions or schools (Carter), Gays to be able to enter in the military without being asked upon entry if they a Gay (Clinton), More specific Goverment Entities (Johnson, Clinton)


You can go on and on on each subject. One point to know is that even though the number of registered voters numbers are 1.35 to 1 in the favor of democrats, many democrats do not vote and not knowledgable on what the democratic partoes pricipals are. Now you have the main reason why Republicans get into office.

The main reason I stay undecided is because I vote for whomever I feel is going to do the better job and benefit my family and the generations to come.

very well said. many people dont know the basic stances of each on regular issues. once you know that, then you can identify with whom ever you see eye to eye with on what ever issues you feel is most important.
