Thanks for the link bruh, I'm sure I'll be disgusted when I watch it. I'll never understand how Trump's financial records "fell outside the scope" of Muller's investigation. Just stunningly shoddy work... it's so obviously salient/neccessary info... you'd expect more due diligence from a freshman college essayist

1. There was already an ongoing counter intelligence investigation that was looking at financials etc before the special counsel
- and by all reports that is still ongoing and has spawned various classified operations - the smallest of which lead to the DoJ charging the Marina Butina NRA et al cases
2. for whatever reason Rosenstein hemmed Mueller in to focus only on criminal - passing on anything found with even a whiff of being espionage related to the counter intel investigation
Still, it seems like his financials should have been a key focus for the report. What good is a counter intel investigation that cant restrain a potential foreign agent in the highest office in the land? This dude just spent yet another G7 meeting begging the Euros et al to let Russia back in (unprompted supposedly lol). It's obv af he's compromised to anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together. Wtf is really going on?

I don't think he's saying that, but he looks bad needing to clarify after he already admitted it was a single-source and also possibly not true. Journalist typically don't like to go live with single-sourced reports. And now Trump is threatening to sue. The network is likely making him re-iterate that it's single-sourced.
