Rene Rivera out by mile on slide to 2nd
Tampa Bay Rays catcher Rene Rivera doesn't get a lot of chances to slide into second base, so who can blame him for his latest base-running mishap?
In the seventh inning of the Rays game against the Angels Tuesday night, Albert Pujols fielded a grounder and threw to shortstop Erick Aybar for the tag-out double play.
Rivera, running from first to second, forgot that he was not Rickey Henderson, and initiated his slide into second base roughly ten from the edge of the bag.
