ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent Josh Norman is discussing five-year deals with the Redskins and 49ers, and is expected to get $14-$15 million per season.
That money is what Norman has been looking for all along. It would put him well ahead of the annual $12.5 million Janoris Jenkins pulled down earlier this offseason. Norman appears set to become one of the 2-3 highest paid corners in the league.

With an estimated $11.6 million in cap space, the Redskins would have to get slightly creative with the structure of the deal or do some mild cap gymnastics to fit that size contract under the salary limit, but the cap is not a real concern. Norman is meeting with the Redskins on Friday. The 49ers are thought to be the other team seriously involved in negotiations.

Pretty much. OBJ already proved he can burn him flat out the gates and on precision routes. He got lucky last year that Dez was injured cuz Dez is a hell of alot more physical. Josh Norman bout to get that dose of reality 4 times per season if he go to Washington.Players can always count on the Deadskins to overpay

Gmen have a lot of cash locked up in cbs with DRC and Jenkins. I'd pull the trigger just to see the practice brawls.
He'll likely struggle with ODB more than Dez being that he's a bigger corner. It's those smaller shifty wr that are tough to hang with.
They'll probably cut Culliver and Andre Roberts to make cap space. Roberts been a dead man walking anyway.

Skins haven't been overpaying anymore than the avg NFL team for about 6 or 7 seasons now. Matter of fact. The only reason they are in the Norman sweepstakes now is because most teams spent thier money up and the Skins haven't signed anyone of note..
Shoot...i think playing Dez and ODB is part of the reason he's considering the Skins. There aren't any primetime matchups in the NFC West. I think he wants that spotlight and he will be pur in the pressure cooker early if he comes to D.C. ..The Skins start the season against Antonio Brown, Dez and ODB right off the top ..
yep. outside of that kick return (ironically vs carolina) roberts has'nt done shit. Cully did do much either, but he was hurt most of the year.
I'm not sure why so many people hating on it. It's a perfect fit for us. Plus Culliver and Jarrett are still recovering from injuries. He is coming into his professional prime despite his age. My Skins had a player that was at camp as a receiver start at corner in a playoff game. This is a good move for us. Show me a corner that hasn't been beat by a receiver. There are none.
