also use Cover Scent lotionNot sure if anyone mentioned this earlier but.... it helps to take a bath (and/or change your clothes) right before you go hunting.
(Especially if you are about to go hunt some Legendary animals.)
Because when you are out hunting & using 'Eagle Vision'... you can see a (yellow) trail of your own body odor, which animals can detect, if they are downwind of you. So, the longer you go without taking a bath... the more INTENSE your own body odor trail becomes... which in turn, makes it harder to hunt... because the animals will detect your presence quicker (and from farther away) and just keep running away from you.
using a brush gets rid of blood on horses or riding through deep water cleans both you and horse
1. catch and break a horse or 2
2. keep them in the camp not stables
3. ride each of the horses long enough to get basic bonding alert
4. while riding any horse - long whistle as you leave camp and all horses you broke and bonded with will follow you

Finally got the pump action this morning
I'll repeat: with slug ammo - pump action is the most efficient killing tool in the game at medium range
no need to worry about headshots
5 shots + dead eye = 5 kills or decapitations
had some epic kill cams knocking people off their feet flying 10 feet back while cutting to sepia shot of Arthur;s face illuminated by muzzle flash...
The pump action is worth the wait
I bought it asap as soon as we reached Valentine - took all my $ but it was worth it
I remembered the efficency in rdr1, and with different ammo types its performing even better in this game
In rdr1 it was better than the semi auto - not sure yet if that will true here

Yeah basically what Leroy says. RDR2 has more replay to it. The random events, hunting and fishing. Then doing the challenges. Going after legendary animals. Robbing homes and stores. Man don't pass this up. Then you got online, I won't be touching 2K unless its for a locker code.

I can confirm that you don’t have to be on chapter 6 to find the legendary gator.

I been looking for three days in that swam for him and it's a no go. I heard dude who gave us the vid about all the Legendary Animals that the gator don't pop up until a certain mission that's in Chapter 6. Also the one of the Legendary big cats do spawn until u do a couple of things in a certain order.
But they been wrong before. If u get him before chapter 6 post a vid.
The first 2 maybe 3 hours is the tutorial. Its pretty quick and this thread is filled with tips starting back the the release date on the 26. The hardest part is hunting if you don't use dead eye.
You a temporary horse. I wouldn't dare take my fully bonded horse in there. Not losing my boah .
