Teens would have a better time reading Octavia Butler, LOTR, something creative and expansive.

Yeah I agree young people gotta realize the world they live in, but if all they get is social reality novels telling them about how fucked up Black people have it America, shit will burden them before they even reach 18 yrs old.

Some of y'all are writers, can we PLEASE get some African mythology, science fiction novels. Dogon mysticism, Chango revisited in 2014 .....all kids have is dragons, wizards, and greek shit....
