Bottom line is...we tax paying, law abiding, US citizens would benefit from the national id card. It would identify potential criminals, and make the odds of escaping unknown slim...
a7chemist said:yeah the problem is that the little rfid tags will contain ALL your private identity on them. and imagine walkin into the DMV or something and they have an automatic RFID scanner at the front door, u walk by and ur ass is scanned and all ur private info pops up. yea u got nothing to hide, the dmv or the government might not care about all ur personal info but will u b alright with whoever is workin the computer knowing all ur personal info?

kain said:I think the national ID is dangerous because it gives the government a single point of control over monetary access and your personal records. You could be a billionare today and poor tomorrow, simply denying you are the rightful owner of an account. You would have little recourse because the National ID would be your single source for your identity. Now put that in a RFID package under the skin in your forehead or between the thumb and index finger - you could be put into the system as a dangerous mass murder, armed and dangerous - to be shot on sight....and you could never refute it. The premise for such a system is that the government can be trusted and would never abuse a system like this...not me..NEVER...I'd leave and revoke my citizenship first.

fuck the government, why do these idiots think the government are their friends??
Keep giving away freedoms, I just finished watching the day after and realized they were trying to spook us back then and they are doing it again.
Do people not realize the government is the biggest fucking crook.

Just because there's not an RFID tag on your debit card, doesn't mean they don't know, or can't find out what your bank account number is. They're the fucking government for fucks sake... they can do anything they want, and cover it up so no one knows about it. Why would they wait until they make a National ID card to start their "reign of terror"? i don't see what's the big fuckin deal here...
and personal info on the card...ah...who has said what is on there? ssn for what...you have a national id number now that's probably written on the card... birthdate, age, height, weight, ethnicity, all things that are on your drivers license, or can be determined by looking at you.
Doubt they will put your bank account status on an id card. to what point and purpose would that serve?
some rich people don't even have bank accounts in the U.S. some don't have accounts at all. they have investments and things of that nature.
think you guys are trying to find something wrong with this and trying to find someway they could use it to descriminate and do wrong with this technology. Fact is, they can do all the things you guys are claiming "could" be done in the future, now.
If u don't want the card. just refuse it when they adopt it, and then kindly be escorted out of the United States of America.

Well, what's stopping the government NOW is that, they don't have a single source of control. There are too many loopholes and escape routes (legal and technical) for Joe to slip away from their grip.
