I was in the "I Got 15 Kids & 3 Babydaddys-SOMEONE'S GONNA PAY FOR ME & MY KIDS!!!" Thread and I started to think... When is it ok for the Mother to give up custody . I have seen cases where the father is well off and the Mother is in a homeless shelter with a kid/kids not thinking about letting the willing and better off father take care of his children at least until she can get herself together. So when is enough, enough? Or is it just cool to let your kids go through that cause u had disagreementswith your children's father ladies?

in a situation like that...(the father was well off and mom in a shelter) then the kids should go to the father, of course until the mom can get things together AND assuming the father is sane and not doing anything illegal....he should be granted temporary custody. why should the kids and mom suffer is the dad is able to support the kid/kids?....ahhhhh, they shouldn't.

The answer to that seems simple at first but it can get quite complicated. I got custody of my son not solely because I was in a better financial position, but she didn't really fight. That and the fact that he'd lived with me for almost two years prior so it was more like "why not"

I had to fight a damn near impossible fight for my daughter. I put myself in a situation to where even if I lost I still won.:D

I know there can be circumstances...but if you can't care for them, provide adequate housing, food...let them go. I've seen people just discard children...either way there's still some bad thoughts going on...

In my opinion boys should always go with their fathers. I got custody of mine since he was 2. A man has more to teach a boy than a woman does.

When he can provide the more stable environment.

Whenever she and the father decide that the child/ren should live with him, whether that be at a certain age or from Day One.

Either one of those.
