1. I'm not defending him, I'm not trying to rescue him or say anything about him and his career. I made that clear.

2. the conspiracy ain't about black men it's about black couples i thought i laid that out perfectly clear.. they want black women to be the face and black men to be the face they want to make THIS couple the example that black couples don't work... for the men and for the women.

3. I said they shouldn't have shown this footage because if it was a white woman i guarantee it wouldn't have been shown like it was. there would have been still images and there would have been a national outcry. they're not even focusing on the black woman who's the victim in this case. she has been questioned unfairly by the dudes in this thread and it's sickening to be honest with you.

MTO please I want the truth to come out about [Ray Rice] and what happened in that elevator. I know everyone says Ray is an animal, but he's NOT.

Ray has NEVER laid a hand on Janay, except on that night. Not BEFORE or AFTER. He made a terrible mistake and he's willing to accept responsibility for his actions. But please tell people that it was a terrible mistake and that he is NOT AN ABUSER.

Here is what happened and it is the God's honest truth. Janay was drinking and she started acting out. Ray kept his cool, even though she was hitting him in the face and body. But in the elevator, she spit right in his face and he reacted without thinking. He did NOT punch her, he slapped her and her head hit the wall. I'm not trying to make light of it, what Ray did was wrong. But it was a reflex - not something he thought about and then did.

I know to all the White media, he is just an abusive Black man but can you please put out the truth. He and Janay are working with counseling and their Pastor to get through this. There were a lot of mistakes made that day (especially by Ray) but we should really move on from this.

What i'm disagreeing with you is. This concept of "it's the media". It's not the media. It's "you". I have SPIKES of hatred for black men by reading this and other boards that i never have had before. That goes triple for Ash. And it was just READING HERE. That's not the media. That's "YOU".

Heres the difference. They are stating their opinion. You are stating a outright lie!

Its their opinion that the media is to blame (personally i havent even seen many of those comments in here honestly but i will assume more than a few exist for sake of argument). You on the other hand are making a factual statement that the evidence in this very thread does not support. Nor is it supported by whats being reported on the news or television pertaining to this incident.

Further, in my post which you quoted i corrected someone else who made a inaccurate statement about the incident so the "ask them" nonsense is just that. And what "them" are you even talking about anyway? The overwhelming majority here and elsewhere have rightfully vilified Ray Rice as scum! Yet you focus on the few who play devils advocate while acting like they represent the masses.

What i'm disagreeing with you is. This concept of "it's the media". It's not the media. It's "you". I have SPIKES of hatred for black men by reading this and other boards that i never have had before. That goes triple for Ash. And it was just READING HERE. That's not the media. That's "YOU".

I'm saying don't play the "it's the media" Card. Because they show what happened. If it didn't happen? They couldn't report it. It's just that simple. That's what i'm talking about.

Maybe it WAS the first time he hit her. MAYBE. Odds are it's not. But the fact remains he shouldn't have done it. He did it. The media caught it. And because he's famous they're reporting on it. And i'll say it's KIND of good. Because you never know what can trigger a woman who is in an abusive relationship. Who may be seeing this after just getting hit her self. She sees this and finally triggers in her, "This won't happen to me again". And she leaves.

I feel sorry for Mrs. Rice. But i also see the benefit for showing it. You want to say it's the media's way of making black men look bad? I say black men don't need ANY help with that. This is very untrue. Very very untrue. I do believe i was 1 of the first ones who said as i always say. Black men need counseling. everytime i know a woman who's been hit. You don't even KNOW How many Times Ty and Samantha have intervened. The woman leaves, and the problem is the woman leaves the man. And people think oh that's it. Thats' NOT it. That's NOT it. The question was about his sponsors and the nfl and all of that stuff and why they are dropping the hammer on him now. I am saying that they didn't care about domestic violence
they knew the story, they saw him dragging her out of the elevator and the nfl gave him 2 games, and his endorsements were still there. they did not care about it. it wasn't until the heat came down a few weeks ago that they decided to NOW take a tough stance on domestic violence because back in july they didn't care enough to even suspend him for more than 2 games.

and even then he wasn't cut or anything.

now that the video has surfaced, suddenly his contract is terminated and he's suspended indefinitely and his endorsements are all gone. and that's not because of domestic violence that's because there were no other options..
