If....IF the Kardashian's are lying about the circumstances surrounding the tape's creation/release, then that right there is why he cares. I can't see having a problem with anyone wanting to clear up any misinformation concerning themselves, whether or not they got rich off of the subject of the misinformation, and especially when the misinformation is one sided.
I believe that earlier this year she said some shit about him possibly sticking a dildo up her ass while she was asleep on a second tape, and he had to beg her to clear that up... cause shit like that in a Me too world....

If I remember correctly, one of her earliest “ins” to showbiz was as a stylist or closet organizer or something. She would be seen tagging along with close friend / boss Paris Hilton to the nightclubs and paparazzi hotspot restaurants. People then wanted to know more about Paris’ fuckable friend. Paris having had her own sextape “scandal” (read: paid career booster) some years prior around the time of The Simple Life. And Kim’s “scandal” drew viewers to the start of the KUWTK franchise and all that.
