Rapper Jay-Z Sells Clothing Company Rocawear For $204 Million In Cash

People please stop saying that jay got 200 mil for the sale of Rocawear, for this to be possible he would have to own 100% of the company which he doesen't. I'm not trying to be negative here because i give em big up for getting money but Rocawear has white investors as owners who sort of employ rappers as front men to promote the company as there own & get the black youth to see them wearing it in the videos and make it seem as the cool thing to do and go out and buy it and in return the rappers are given a percentage of the procceds take 50 cent and G-Unit for example he makes 6-8 mil a year from G-Unit sales which is great money but if he was the full owner this number would be much higher or Dipset and that drink Sizzurp the list goes on when Dame & Biggs sold there part they got like 25-30 mil which is a more realistic number of what jay got.

This doesn't make any sense. The only people that he are probably splitting the money with are his partners and the government.

The employees of the company are still being paid out of the 700 million that the company is pulling in per year.

Iconix bought the Rocawear brand(company) from Jay-z, he don't have to pay the employees out of his check.

Ok what i'm I not getting here the article states Rocawear
gets annual sales of $700 million.

And jay-Z getting $205 mil in cash and $35 mil in stock

Mathematically this don't look good for jigga but

That $700M is how much the company grosses before paying expenses and taxes.

$205M in cash is $205M in CASH....today, right now, in the bank. Not stretched over a 12 month period. I'm a businessman, trust me when I say its a great deal. Big up Jigga.
