Rapper Beanie Sigel Lands Back in Prison

(March 29) - Rap star Beanie Sigel has returned to prison.

A federal judge in Philadelphia sentenced Sigel to three months in prison Friday after authorities say he gave a false urine sample to probation officials.


Beanie Sigel violated his probation by submitting a false urine sample, earning himself a three-month prison sentence.
Officials also say the rapper tested positive five times this month for Xanax and Percocet.

Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was already serving a six-month term in a halfway house for having previously violated supervised release.

Sigel told the judge he was an addict and had a relapse when he was sent to the halfway house.

In 2004, U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick sentenced Sigel to a year in prison and two years of supervised release after Sigel pleaded guilty to weapons and drug charges.

He was acquitted in September 2005 of attempted-murder charges in connection with a shooting.

But he kept fucking up.

Dude's biggest problem is that he was what, 27 -28, when he 1st signed. He was already the man he was going to be for the next 15 to 20 years. It was already too late for someone who made it by being obscenely stubborn to make a radical lifestyle change. From what I hear, he's been popping pills for years, shit is not stopping anytime soon.

And on top of that, it's hard to tell anybody shit who's had a documented shootout with police and lived to tell the tale.
