Rapidshare points are used toward a free month. Free months keep you from paying $13 every month out of pocket. Contribute and you get 1 point per download. If every time somebody downloads one of your links you get a point, it adds up and once you get 10,000 points you can get a free month. I currently have 160,000 points, which is 16 free months. They don't generate actual income, but it saves me $160 a year.

Actually your wrong. If you do a google search, you'll find plenty of sites & forums where people sell their points and make a lot of money. And nobody pays $13 for rapidshare anymore unless your new to it. You can get a Rapidshare Account for as little as $3 bucks from some of these sites.
