Rapid Share....megaupload????

Got a question for the board, between rapidshare and Megaupload, which is the better one to invest in? Or is there another one better than these two that is more worthy or safe since I've been hearing rumours bout shits closing down and whats not.

oh and something to look at, probably a repost but for the cats that missed it

Yeah, gets fast as fuck when you use a download manager. I can download 7 100Mb links at one time in about 5 mins. That's a full movie in 5 minutes. Plus no waiting period. Worth the money.

- Many people seem love/hate with Rapidshare
- I actually prefer Megaupload + Megarotic as a non-account holder
- Mega' allows for up to 500MB storage on files
- Rapidshare allows for 100MB
- Many non-account holders say that Rapidshare is much faster
- Personally I find Mega' to be faster for my needs here (for whatever reason)
- As a non-account holder I sometimes cringe when I see full movies divided into 10 - 20 parts on Rapidshare (as I have no interest in those)
- I've uploaded about 15 scenes or so from Trikepatrol on Megaupload/Megarotic/Sendspace in the past 1/2 year

No, it's unlimited. Megaupload is only better for those who don't have an account. Everything is on rapidshare.

No, he's right. Even with an account, it is still limited to 100 MB uploads. The main advantage to having an account with Rapidshare is no wait times between downloads

Also, RS has nothing to install on your PC and never tries to take over your browser. It does not add any spyware either. In fact, I haven't see a popup from it since I got the account. For me, this is what separates it from the others

And the speed basically stays the same for me, but my PC isn't all that fast to begin with

Just pay yo. . . .I have had an RS account for over a year now and I love it. And if you upload shit and people download it then you earn points which extend your account FOR FREE!!!

I have a mega account also but I use my RS more.

Pay for 3 months.

Start uploading stuff to RS (they have a great upload manager).

Post the links.

You will get points for people downloading shit that you upped.

Convert the points in to free month of RS.

You will never have to pay for RS again !!

I have both and haven't paid for either since 2006 because of all the stuff I upload. I like megaupload better because of

1) Rapidshare's new bullshit "No downloads in 90 days & we kill it even if you have been a member for years."

1A) Megaupload has a 250GB online storage limit. I have 137GB remaining!

1B) I JUST RECEIVED A ONE YEAR FREE MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE OF ALL THE STUFF I UPLOAD!!!

2) Organization. You can categorize by name of file alphabetically, size of file, date uploaded, number of downloads (that way you can see which files hasn't been used by you yet). Rapidshare only lets you sort by file name and date uploaded.

3) Larger files. I once downloaded a 550MB file. If I am downloading a 700mb movie, I would prefer 2 or 3 links instead of 7 or 8.

4) Large multi-uploads. I upload 3-5 before bed/before I go to work , and when I get up/come home they are done.

Rapidshare uploads are faster...at least with my cable connection being as crappy as it is. I don't know why people would rather download 10 links instead of 2-3. I like

For the things I like to download, people overwhelmingly upload to Rapidshare. It could almost be called "THE" standard. On that basis alone, I find that a RS subscription is well worth the money.

Borrow stuff from other forums (don't steal from BGOL and post on BGOL. That shit is rude), or zshare links, upload it to your megaupload or rapidshare account and post on BGOL. Zshare is free, and nobody is getting credit anyway, why not steal it.

Rapidshare is more popular, but if you upload enough they will both become free in time. Like I said, I haven't paid for either since 2006, and I just got a free year from megaupload!!!
