Rape victim ordered to pay her abuser child support....

Maybe in your state

In the majority of states (34), it is 16 years of age. In the remaining states, the age of consent is either 17 or 18 years old (6 and 11 states, respectively). Note: Some states have marital exemptions. This Table assumes the two parties are not married to one another.
I'm talking about the state where this occurred. If you read it, they actually said it was illegal in that state.

I'm surprised so many of yall are condoning grown men fucking high school teenagers.

Crazy situation. Even if you ignored the rape issue... giving a man full custody of his child over a cell phone issue just makes no reasonable sense. In order to get full custody, in most every state, there are at least legal guidelines a judge (should) go by. For example, the parent has to be incapable of taking care of their child to some major degree/reason.

The keyword is "should," but in family court there's no jury -- only a judge who can be paid off easily or just bias in favor of the female or male(more rare). Even if you appeal, they really don't have any Supreme Court that can overrule them for taking your child or children from you more than 50%.

Sounds like this guy has the police and the family court judge on his side.

This case is as nearly as fk'd up as the cases where a guy who's just dating a baby mama ends up ordered to pay child support for kids not his.

This case reminds me of this documentary called "divorce corp" where a lawyer in it has a great line... Which holds true in most cases... Right or wrong by law or not, you get the justice you can afford...

Even though she was a little under age I think she went along with this until she got pregnant but at the same time it is still fucked up what the judge did

Not everything is as black and white as it seems. It's never that simple.

There is always more to a story.

Anytime you hear a woman losing full custody of her child, that means something.

The courts are always on a woman side. The fact they not is very telling.

She could be hooking, on drugs or something.

Never take one side of a story as truth, or any man at his word

Always more to it.

You're dealing with a bunch of anti woman. anti child support folks who cheer whenever a woman has to pay or a man doesn't. View it from that lens and it all makes sense.

I knew something was off when he was defending Danny Green and said I was bullying him….

It wasn't rape until the boyfriend found out the child wasn't his.
With that first line, this chick lost all respect.

Abelseth, now 32, said she became pregnant after the attack. She said most people assumed that the child belonged to her boyfriend at the time.“ ... And I let them believe that,” Abelseth told the news station.

She let her current boyfriend think he was the Daddy as well as all those close to them.

Now she crying foul.

Women use the word rape like a trump card now.

Like the boy who cried wolf, I'm finding it harder and harder to believe now.

Her and the boyfriend probably broke up and she wanted to get child support, a DNA test is mandatory so that's when she found out that the boyfriend wasn't the father and that's when the other guy found out he was because she went to get child support from him

Bro I think you are ignoring the rape/statutory rape issue here.

Even if she is an unfit parent, the dude that raped/statutory raped her as a child should not get custody.

There is no indication she is a bad parent, just seems like dude got a little power where they are from.

Another one has custody...
