Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III will be charged with DUI resulting in death after his involvement in a fatal car crash this morning in Las Vegas

I agree... Too many negatives in this situation.

The dead woman
The injured female passenger
The speed, The speed, The speed!
The dead dog
The available ride
Dude is high profile Black man ( gonna make an example of him)

I see 10 to 15... easy!

Let's do the math on this...

Speeding = 6 months
DWI = 6 months
Injured passenger = 6 months
Dead Woman = 1 year
Dead Dog = 20 years

Bye, Bye Henry!

 So the problem is that it's a loaded gun? Now, no he should not have been driving at that speed on that road,
but I see too often, they will throw everything they can to prove a point. My thing is, he was not pointing the gun
out the window while he had the wreck, so what message is really being made? Again, not defending his idiotic ride
while under the influence, but the discretion of DAs is too great. Not every death has justice.

On the other hand, this dude accidentally kills his kid, by pulling a trigger, while hunting - OK. It's against the law
in many states to shoot deer out of season, so you have to be sure of what you're shooting at or you get cited.
But if you kill your own kid, and have the DA on your side for some reason... no charge, not even a citation
"he is going through too much already" Maybe Ruggs is "going through too much already"

I'm saying that getting the book thrown at him is more expected cuz of the combination of a DUI & a loaded firearm bring in the car. I wouldn't be as quick to jump to race betting a factor when that combination is part of the story. If it was just the reckless DUI & they went all out with charges then I'd definitely be more inclined to believe race fuckery is amidst. It's still possible with this combination but in states with very strict gun laws I'm already expecting heavy consequences to be levied

Doesn't matter who had the right of way. If I'm sitting at a red light and your car hits mine, if I'm DUI, I'm automatically at fault, even though you hit me.

Yup I understand that no different then a uninsured car out there. Was curious how the accident happen, if he flying down the road at 156mph and she trying to make a left turn from another street in front of him. To see if she could’ve saved herself by looking both ways.

Most of the time you have to be a defensive driver as well.

She was rear ended.

Whether she was turning left, right or stopped. He was going 120 when he hit her and going 156 until he noticed her.

The only thing should could’ve was step on the gas when she saw the blur of his headlights. And even then it was too late.

Do you have any idea what 156 mph looks like? I do. That shit is a blur! You expect a woman to make a millisecond decision to what exactly? The chick is driving a RAV-4, not a fighter jet. Aint no such thing as defensive driving in situations like that.

Yes I know what 193mph look like, that’s turning a dotted line into a solid line.I own a 2014 BMW hp4 my 15th motorcycle. I also own a C8, I’ve seen many of crashes (deaths) and accidents. I’m not on WR side..just wondering how exactly the accident happen.

I’ve seen a motorcycle flying up on the back of cars then automatically change lanes then at the same time the car change lanes. At that point the bike hits the back of the car.

Intersection are notorious for high speed accidents. People run red lights but I still have to double check left and right even if my light is green.

And I’ve dodge cars all day on simple stuff. Car hits a U-turn it’s my job to watch his tires or be on defense just in case.

Me and my daughter watch a lot of video about being defensive. Cars just don’t come out of nowhere, you have to constantly check your mirrors. No different then traffic come to a complete stop. I’m looking in my rear view to make sure the person behinds me stop.

He was driving 156mph and hit the back of her car, it truly doesn’t matter what she was doing unless she was driving backwards. :rolleyes2:

I remember the Ford pinto. Ford knew that if the car was hit in the back it would burst into flames, they eventually had to recall the cars and put in a sheild to protect the gas tank.

There was no defect on the Rav4. It's basic physics... it sat up at just the right height for a speeding C8 to make direct impact with the gas tank.

The fact that he was driving a newer vette is the only reason he and his gf are alive.....can you imagine an engine getting pushed back into the cabin at that speed......the impact and damage that would cause?!!

He also had an illegal LOADED gun in the car
A whole dumbass

I'll already give you race may not be a factor in the firearms charge.
But the judge is getting ready to charge him for another felony involving his girlfriend's injuries!
If nothing else, a " set an example" factor is at play.

So I get this now :

NRS 202.257 prohibits anyone in Nevada from carrying or handling firearms while under the influence of drugs or alcohol or with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or higher. This offense is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and/or up to $1,000 in fines.

Fastest I've gone was about 125-130 on a straight line of highway. 1995 Red GT Mustang on I-20 west headed to Carmax on Thornton Road...and I was going there to get rid of that car!

After hearing about this crash, it made my situation look not bad. The bad part with my crash is the intentional nature by agents of the government and being held hostage in the U.S./important projects delayed to set this up. It just further affirms my belief in their feeble mindedness.

Any place serving drinks should require people to check out before they leave so that a staff member can assess them. If you are impaired driving, you higher level reasoning is also impaired. Why isn't this safety check system not in place is beyond reason.

Europeans have been drinking longer than us and may have adaptations that we do not have yet, look at how Asians respond to Alcohol.

Kadarius Toney’s ill-advised Henry Ruggs tweet leads to another talk with Joe Judge

November 4, 2021 11:19pm

After a frustrating Thursday night game Sept. 30 and an ensuing social-media message in which he insinuated he had found his limited role in the Giants offense to be “lame,” receiver Kadarius Toney had a chat with his head coach.

“Whatever you put out there,” Joe Judge told him, “make sure you don’t have to explain, clarify or defend.”
The lesson was not learned.

Toney, the rookie first-round pick, left plenty to explain, clarify and defend in a Wednesday night tweet in which he attempted to contextualize the deadly crash involving former Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III as merely a mistake people make.

Judge said he addressed Toney and the Giants as a whole about the car accident in which Las Vegas prosecutors say Ruggs, who they say had a blood-alcohol content twice Nevada’s legal limit, was driving more than 150 mph before rear-ending another car, killing the woman inside.

“I talked to Kadarius. It’s important that we understand how we articulate our words and put them out there,” Judge said after practice Thursday. “Ultimately, our prayers are with everybody. This is a situation no one wants to see happen to anybody. … While no one is in any way, shape or form dismissing the consequences at all, it’s horrible on both sides.”

Judge pointed out that Ruggs, a former Alabama star, has plenty of relationships across the league, which leads to players reaching for empathy rather than anger.

But Toney, who did not speak publicly Thursday, did not seem to express the same empathy for the victim in his widely criticized tweet.
“We young…..everybody make mistakes,” Toney wrote. “y’all lookin at the situation like ‘this or that’ kuz it ain’t y’all…having so much too say….he know he messed up don’t drag em for it……that’s goofy to me….just pray for the families involved.”

Judge said the 22-year-old Toney’s heart is in the right place and he is a “very intelligent person” who is coachable. There has been a lot that has had to be coached, though.

Toney’s outspokenness off the field has not cost him on the field in seven games this year, in which he has caught 27 passes for 343 yards and at times looked like the explosive threat the Giants need. But his emotion erupting on the field led to an ejection in Week 5, when he threw a punch at Dallas’ Damontae Kazee in a scuffle, removing himself from a game in which he had racked up 189 receiving yards.

Toney apologized after the game and took responsibility while adding that “everybody makes mistakes.”

Growing individuals learn from them. Judge said he appreciates that Toney is the type of person who is unapologetically himself and willing to speak up.
Sometimes that means he, intentionally or not, downplays a horrific incident that left a woman dead and Ruggs facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and reckless driving.

What do you think? Be the first to comment.

“I have no questions about [Toney’s] character. I think it’s important people understand that — I talk about it all the time, I can deal with personalities,” Judge said of Toney, who was limited in practice with a thumb injury. “Now, that doesn’t mean at some point you don’t have to address something with somebody.

“He’s a young player, and we’ve got to continue to help this guy grow as a professional.”

Was that her car right in front of him?

He was probably distracted or talking to his girl and not paying attention

He was a moron with this one

I read that and shook my head.

Killing someone is a lot more than a mistake. You could maybe say that if he just got arrested for a DUI or reckless driving.

TMZ Update - "10:25 AM PT -- The vehicle that appears in the video before Ruggs' Corvette seems to match the characteristics -- color, shape -- of a Toyota RAV4, the vehicle 23-year-old Tina Tintor was driving.

Also, the vehicle was in the right lane (and HR the middle lane), and that matches the narrative told by police.

We've reached out to cops to confirm whether the vehicle is Tintor's."
