Trainer Roger Mayweather is a given for controversial comments. The man who trains WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., watched Lamont Peterson's upset split decision of Amir Khan from Saturday night, and he agreed with the verdict. More so, Mayweather agreed with referee Joe Cooper taking away two points from Khan, which allowed Peterson to clinch a winning score on two cards.

Peterson captured the WBA/IBF junior welterweight titles with two identical scores of 113-112. The third judged scored it for Khan - 115-110. Referee Cooper penalized Khan in two separate rounds for pushing.

BoxingScene.com: What were your thoughts on the fight?

I said he was going to get his ass whooped. I know Lamont Peterson. I used to train him and his brother Anthony. I knew he was going to whoop Amir Khan's ass. He got ass whooped. I know both of them [Peterson brothers] They are both hard workers. Lamont was in the gym right before Floyd fought [Victor Ortiz].

BoxingScene.com: Why do you think affected Amir the most in losing the fight?

Amir has that same sh*t in him that [Manny Pacquiao] got. He thought they were going to catch him, that he was going to have to take a test, so I guess he didn't come with it. Lamont beat him hands down. He couldn't take that sh*t. If they don't got that sh*t, they have no way of winning. He probably didn't take because he knew they were going catch him. He knew they were going to test and he didn't bring that sh*t and that probably why he got his ass whooped. Lamont was hitting him with those uppercuts and stayed on top of his ass and kept grinding his ass. Lamont did what he had to do to win.

BoxingScene.com: Did you have any issue with the point deductions?

No, because he kept pushing [Peterson] with his arms. That's why the referee warned him, he kept pushing with his arm. The elbow.

I've been saying for years that Roger needs to have his own reality TV show. I know I'd tune in every week...

If not a reality show, somebody should hire him to do boxing analysis. Preferably for cable or a podcast because I need the full, uncensored Roger Mayweather.

His between rounds instructions are usually hilarious as well. Nothing really technical, just "u know what u got to do, go in there and whup his ass"
