R. Kelly’s attorney says R. Kelly’s life is in danger, accusing the feds of orchestrating for a member of the Aryan Brotherhood to kill R. Kelly, and reveals they plan to ask Donald Trump for a pardon to free R. Kelly. The lawyer for R Kelly just filed a new motion, claiming a member of the Aryan Brotherhood was recruited by prison staff to murder R Kelly. That inmate, who has terminal cancer, signed a sworn statement saying prison officials told him to kill R. Kelly to keep certain information from coming out.R Kelly’s attorney says this is part of a larger pattern of misconduct and government corruption in his case. They now plan to ask Donald Trump for a presidential pardon, saying Trump is the only one bold enough to act.In the meantime, R Kelly’s legal team is asking for him to be placed on home detention for his safety. Kelly is serving a 30-year sentence in North Carolina for sex crimes and racketeering. The inmate, Mikeal Glenn Stine, says prison officials promised he would be allowed to escape if he killed R Kelly — but he changed his mind and instead warned R Kelly of the plot.R Kelly’s lawyers also accuse prosecutors of misconduct in past trials, claiming prison officials illegally accessed Kelly’s private communications and used it to pressure key witnesses against him.At age 58, R Kelly won’t be eligible for release until 2045. His attorneys now say they’re preparing to challenge the conviction entirely and hope for a pardon from Donald Trump — who has recently pardoned other controversial figures.
