According to reports, Kells owes $837,000 in federal taxes. Music industry bad boy R. Kelly has more than foreclosure to worry about. Kelly, the controversial R&B star owes more than $837,000 in delinquent federal taxes, records show. The tax debt is another indication Kelly is struggling with financial problems. News leaked this week that Kelly faces possible foreclosure of his $2.9 million suburban Chicago mansion. It’s not all bad news. Last month, the IRS released a $1,036,858 tax lien filed against Kelly.

the south suburban home he hasn't lived in over the past year. looks like he is just walking away from that since the value has dropped significantly.

why would the IRS release over one million if he owes under a million without taking what he owes.That is what the lien is for.

you said he committed a major crime but you can't prove it since there is no conviction.

being dumb doesn't mean he is broke.

R Kelly has a catalog that pays residuals because he writes and produces as well as records and tours. Kelly can stay dumb and not do another piece of music and will still make more yearly than I will in 10 years

Now Whitney Houston is dumb because if she doesn't sing record and tour she doesn't make money

That is not a lot to a person like r Kelly. It just seems like a large number to everyday people like us. That money owed is the equivalent to one of us owing 10gs.

It is a combination of the artist and accountants fault for not keeping track of all the money that comes in. Being a business owner I can now understand. When you have Chunks of money coming I. From so many different sources and alot of it in cash it can be a task to keep up with if the person, accountant, or manager is not keeping up with the money flow
