R.I.P. shanebp1978

Dark Void made the current buttons we use. I personally like to think he is
always with us and keep it as is, but it's the boards decision not mine.

HNIC

I'm down for that. But if we are going to commemorate Shane wouldn't it be right to do all the previous members who have passed?

:eek::smh::smh::smh:

just saw this - heartfelt condolences, he had positive energy that i could feel just through what & how he wrote over the years

damn :smh:

RIP brother Shane

R.I.P. Mike(Shane)
Too many of our brothers have been leaving too soon. A commemoration of him and our other brothers would be good. Some of you guys I damn near grew up with on here during my very late 20's so this hits close to home. You were just a few years younger than myself. I'll have a drink in your honor brother

I'm down for that. But if we are going to commemorate Shane wouldn't it be right to do all the previous members who have passed?

was gonna say we should have a forever sticky for all the fallen..him, afflicted, the angel chick, etc..have a pic of each member..be like gone but never forgotten..keep they image alive forever on the web

I'm still crying

I just can't believe it

It's eating me up man

I know man. I've been thinking about it all day. I wasn't as close to him as many of you were, but I have read his work and his thoughts. I have seen his comments on the black struggle, many of which I share myself. We need to take this board back from the assholes and idiots. This board used to be great, and somehow, somewhere it turned for the worse.

I don't know whether it is HNIC instituting the $10, now $20 donation. That shouldn't make that big of a difference, largely because you can get enough free stuff in one day to make that 10 or 20 dollars more than worth it. Some people are just super cheap. the laughs, the jokes, the free shit, the information, the music, the porn, the pictures from slam and others, the movies, the free early release of information and materials. I could go on and on to show how this board is worth it - but I don't know whether that's the reason people stopped coming and the board turn for the worse

there are enough oldtimers who have been with the board since the OnProbation days that can get together and devise a plan to get the board back on track.

we need the moderators to step up an institute a banning procedure that works, complete with warnings when appropriate and 1 day, 3 day, 1 week, 2 week, one month, permanent ban - and for the egregious this can be escalated. This is not a bully site, but like Tupac thugz mansion, "we finally found a spot to kick it, where we can drink liquor and no one bickers over trick shit"

there is a reason that I've been coming here for 15 years. There is a reason why many of you have been around for the same or longer.let us use the loss of our brother Shane to get us back on track

Been here nearly 10 years and have seen homie post from time to time. R.I.P. to bro shanebp, and condolences to his family.

Here today, gone tommorow. :smh:

thats the thing that got me.

Like i stated...i didnt know dude.....but i saw him post a lot over the last 12+ years. and literally 1-2 days before this thread. The fact that someone can be posting like everything is everything...then a sticky is up literally the next day talking about "RIP"...shit is kinda trippy. Shock and awe type stuff.

I never lost anyone around me in that manner...
But it still made me think about a lot of personal shit....

36 is young.....
Im curious to know what he died from.
But if i dont ...its cool.

RIP

RIP...seemed like a good dude, def too young to go. Im 36 too and I can't imagine, but you never know I guess...

RIP to shanebp1978 he was a brother who I really respected based on how he broke things down. I'm all about OUR people and he was one of those too I always have love for those brothers because they stay true despite becoming damn near extinct on BGOL.

You with Ancestors now Ase'

damn, first time seeing this

RIP

I started seeing him in a different light when he mentioned his trip to Ferguson
