R.I.P. Moses Malone

Darryl and Moses.......i'm too young to ever see them play but old enough to know who they are and know how dominate they were and how respected they were. RIP TO LEGENDS.

Crazy about these two is that both came straight out of High School into the NBA.

sad day. r.i.p. moses was an absolute
beast in his prime. one of the most
unstoppable centers in nba history.
definitely my favorite.

R.I.P. Big Mo

Now the Sixers need to officially retire his jersey. Taking it out of circulation is not enough.

Man the Sixers aren't gonna have enough room for patches on there uniforms this season. Dawkins and now Mosses. :crying::crying::crying:

Didnt wilt die before 60 too? How many of the nba top 50 has died before 50? I cringe when i see wilkins in the diabetes commercial.

The NBA takes a toll on the body.

I played college ball (25-30 games per season) and even THAT shit can wear you down a bit.

But Pro ball is like playing 3 college seasons in a row. Every year. (Back to back to back.) With only 3 1/2 months to recuperate.

That's why them old NBA vets be walking with a serious 'permanent limp' and have nagging (back / knee / ankle / joint) injuries if they been in the league for over 10+ years. :smh: (which is like 30+ seasons of college ball, or more)

And the taller you are... (Or if you were a high-flyer).... the worse it is after retirement.

The smaller guards (like Payton, or Stockton, or Mugsy Bogues height) are not affected as much as the big men.
