R.I.P. Malcolm-Jamal Warner 54 - Dies in Costa Rica

I legitimately DO NOT have the words.
Malcolm was literally a member of the family for just about every Black family in America.
He was bright, articulate, talented and very funny. He represented both Black excellence and Black masculinity and he was NEVER a racial embarrassment. Aside from Theo, one my favorite skits he did was:

Thanks for the entertainment, for the laughs and for the memories, Malcolm...
RIP.

This sucks man. I grew up watching this dude and in my mind, he was my big brother. My son's middle name is Malcolm after him. I ended up working on an episode of House of Lies with him back in 2015. We were trailer neighbors and had a scene together. Really nice, solid dude. RIP

I don't shed a tear easy but cant help it. I actually had the honor and privilege to have met this man in person and he was gracious and kind. (Shout out to Kadeem Hardison another legend I got to salute). Called me his twin. A legend a hero a role model for a generation of black men.

Rest In Peace king

We've been updated, a strong current can take anyone.

Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Department said Warner drowned Sunday afternoon on a beach on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. He was swimming at Playa Cocles in Limon province when a current pulled him deeper into the ocean.

“He was rescued by people on the beach,” the department’s initial report said, but first responders from Costa Rica’s Red Cross found him without vital signs and he was taken to the morgue.

Got damn another death that hurts personally
I grew up watching him grow up. We still watch Cosby Show. The Huxtables ain’t did shit wrong in my book. 54 smh

My youngest son deals with some of the same learning issues that Theo did and it has helped us learn to deal with him differently once we drew the connections

R.I.P King thank you for the memories laughter and lessons. when you get to the gate make sure you style on em!

“It’s tucked into my SOCK!”

Its still sad and disappointing that the immediate reaction was that he couldn't swim.

True, but when people hear about a healthy grown man drowning there's usually a few assumptions.

He can't swim, was drunk or on drugs, or if in the ocean rough waters.
