Quick question!?

Do any of you guys actually buy comics? Or do you just trade and find this stuff online and don't support the artists and companies?

How do you think that's going to work out in the end?

I go to the shop just about every Wednesday and buy all the titles I read. If I can't make it during the week I'm there on the weekend Most comic shop owners are really cool dudes to chill with and talk to.
It's an expensive habit especially when you have a weakness for hot ass variant covers

I like to read the downloads at work so when I'm sitting at my desk I look like I'm actually doing work
Plus when I go on trips I can load my laptop up and not worry about any of my books getting messed up or lost.

I tend to buy graphic novels and one-shot specials so yeah, I do tend to support my favorite artists/writers that way.

Like Lady Wiz said, having the comics stored digitally makes for convenience when traveling.

I used to hit the shop every Wednesday, but now I'm going about once every other weekend. I buy about 10 books a month on a consistent basis, but usually pick up at least another 10-15/month (so a typical bi-monthly trip will see me walking out with 10-12 books) I'll sometimes DL something if I can't find it in the shops, or something so old that it's at a premium price. (avengers annual # 10... )

I'm probably one of the dudes that made marvel comics the empire that it is today.. I don't buy comics anymore, but my collection is bananas...

i use to buy until my local comic book store was going out of business and brought out by some folks who seemed to know more about YuGiOh then they do comics.

Needless to say they too went out of business a few months ago.

I only buy Trades now.
