Quick laptop advice needed... want to buy new machine

I have this

Main reason keyboard isn't good on this model and it's slower proessor compared to ryzen but it's more for work, productivity and durability, this thing never get hots and has good cooling

But the asus is probably not gonna last as long as the thinkpad but it's more "modern"

Should I get it? Not many people buy this model, this is moreso for CAD students but I got it for a good deal.

You never go wrong with Thinkpads. But note that the memory is soldered on this laptop (no upgrading). So, make sure it comes with what will accommodate your needs. Thinkpad T14 Gen2 (AMD) looks better to me though.

The intel i5 was for 819 which is why I bought it, decent laptop, great bq but kinda slow CPU and keyboard is raised pretty high, I tried to sell it but no hits keep in mind this model has the quardo GPU for CAD students....

I wish i got the AMD version but that was around 1300 dollars. Also I upgraded the ram myself to 16 gigs, it's slot empty in the motherboard.
